Hi,

This is my first post so HELLO everyone Smiley

but...

I've bought some Asus RX580 Strix with Samsung Memory and I'm trying to undervolt it to mine ETHEREUM.

On stock BIOS I'm getting 24MH/s

Now I've copied 1750 straps to 2000 and I'm getting about 27MH/s but with 180W power usage.

Is it possible to lower power usage with that hashrate?

Play around with programs like msi afterburner and decrease it to -75mv and check it's stable.
If yes, increase it to -100 and see again.

You just have to test to find the best undervolting, core and memory clocks for your card till you reach something that satisfies you.

Still experimenting with mine, however I can confirm even at -96 mV it is stable and happy.

Additionally, the reduced voltage means the GPU can hit higher speeds which (although less important than memory speeds) still makes a difference.

Can You send me Your exact settings?

My current settings (more tweaking to be done later after work Grin) are:

-96mV
0% power change
1300 GPU clock
2200 GPU memory

Everything else is stock including the BIOS

THX I'll test it.

BTW Do You mine dual (ETH+DCR)? I've got some problem with it.

When I'm starting dual mining (ETH+DCR) after few minutes computer hangs up.

When I mine solo only ETH it works just fine - tested for 24h without any problem.

Any clues?

Oh... I'm on Crimson 17.5.2 Beta drivers.

Make sure you're not undervolting your cards as that caused hiccups in dual mining, also make sure the -dcri is lower than 30, sometimes even 20 or 10 to make it stable, just try different settings until one is.

So... After some testing...

My best settings for now:

GPUClock 1050
MemoryClock 2000
GPUVoltage 987

straps copied from 1750 to 2000

4 GPU Asus Strix RX 580 on Samsung memory - 111Mh/s (Ethereum only), 525W from wall

I'm very impressed by temperatures: about 50-55C

Can anyone share their best settings for that card? Maybe some bios mod?

I'm having six Asus Strix 8GB RX580 cards delivered next week and would also be interested in exact settings that work well.

Just don't use the 1750MHz strap!
If you will have Samsung use Uber-Mix! Look at my guide.
