Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. My main reason for joining was a recommendation that I look here to sell my Casascius coin versus ebay or other venues. I have watched the newbie video and I'm currently reading through the remainder of the links on the newbie post. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions for selling the coin before I make a post on the marketplace.

Thank you!

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

A few pointers:
  • For the protection of both you and the seller, use a trusted escrow. Note: I cannot personally vouch for the accuracy of the linked thread; exercise due diligence
  • Make sure that the coin is still intact, the tamper evident seal is intact, and you can provide photos.

I'm not particularly familiar with the caveats in the exchange of physical bitcoins, so I can only provide limited advice.

I have recently become active again after a long period of inactivity. Cryptographic proof that my account has not been compromised is available.

Hi. You should go to the collectibles  and list your sale:

Also don't forgot to mention what is the condition of the coin, etc, like you would do in any sales site.

People might not trust you because you are a newbie with 1 post.

You happened to you have a 2012 1BTC Casascius coin and still be a newbie here?

Digital goods is the wrong section to post the coin in. Post it in collectible goods. That section is made for these type of coins.

Thank you for all the replies. I will take good pictures and post in the collectables section. I know I am new to the forum so trust may be an issue, therefore the use of an escrow service will probably be a good idea. Thanks again!
