Will we ever see bitcoin lower than 1000$?

If we have another MtGox-like disaster, then certainly btc would likely drop below $1000.
Any significant news that could create fear/doubt in the hearts of investors would cause it drop.

Well indeed it can probably contribute to the price of bitcoin going to drop to sub 900$. But I do think trading platforms has learned this lessons very well and will try to avoid any such hacking in the future by putting a nice security around it. So for me, its hard to see bitcoin falling to sub 900$. I think the lowest we can go is 1500$ now.

yes you are right bitcoin can not be lower than 1000$ because the price of bitcoin is going higher and higher however the price is going up and down but it cannot reach below 1000 dollars, if the extreme dump occur it will be 2000 dollars but i think the price will be 3000 dollars in the end of the year.

In fact, no one can predict what will be the price of bitcoin. We don't even know who the main reserves of bitcoins. If we assume that some multi-billionaire invested a billion in coins, and now decided to sell them, we all do not have enough money to purchase them. The price may drop quite low.

It may still dip to below 2k but I agree, it would take something to go wrong to see btc go below 1k again. That'a for the next few months though as most forecasts indicate that the price would still go up and would target to breach 3k. And i don't mind if btc goes below 1k. Just gives me a chance to store up more btc for future earnings

Even some months ago bitcoin'a price was 600$ but it started to rise and everyone sees how it become 1300$, than 1-2 month ago we had a little fall and lowest price was 890$ but than it returned to it's 1200-1300 and continued to rise and rise and we see what we get in result, bitcoin's price is 2750$ currently. This is very high rise and what do you think guys, will we see fall from 2700 to 1000 or even to 600$ ? Can we to forget worries of price fall?

So far the price was 2400$ its almost dropped 300$ almost, but we don't need to be panic its a normal things happen, its just a days from now it will resume again to resume the original price value or more. Just stick unto it then hold.

It’s possible for Bitcoin to drop down to a value like $990 without any stops because people will panic if that happens. I feel that the people that purchase Bitcoin around them will have a tough time doing so because there will be a bunch of people trying to purchase it at that price as well.

That is really possilbe that depends on how things would work. It may happen but with the current situation it is on the least part because it seems that bitcoin price is becoming more comfortable of its current price and slowly rising

From my perspective, it will not go down below 1000 dollars, but in the monetary system anything can be happened. During recession many European countries economy had been collapsed, so if it occurred again then everything will go down. Nothing can be predictable...

As of now, I think NO also. Bitcoin is already treading to $3,000 dollar and getting back to $1000 is a major crash happening if ever. Though possibility is always there but for now, NO.

Accepting it as legal tender would mean being able to pay taxes with it, and no government would go for that given they already have their own currency for paying taxes (at least, not in the foreseeable future). Apart from that, neither this nor something else of that kind would prevent Bitcoin from a collapse if that should come about for real. For example, the chain split so much talked about could easily drive the prices well below 1,000 dollars

Yes many professionals predict the price will not go lower than $1000. The reason is now the bitcoin registered it has one major currency in people mind. So so many people are invested and now also investing in bitcoins. If suddenly it drops means it will lose its reputation. And the bitcoin technology is also becoming strong in the market. So I hope it will not go lower $1k.

$1000 may be too low for those early adapters but still for those who have stayed here for a long that is still way up.
A big buy after a big fall, hope that happens and we wil not lose the way of thinking that bitcoin can still go back up.

It will definitely repeat the same trend again and only those who believe will make money actively. Being a day trader
is really profitable due to the fact that the nature of bitcoin and other crypto currencies are volatile, it will always stay that way I guess.

I don't think that Bitcoin will go lower than one thousand dollars. It may grow at a slower pace, if other Altcoins like Ethereum and Stratis take up more and more of the marketcap but I think way too many huge whales are invested in it now and there is a lot of infrastructure around Bitcoin now for a few more years that ensures it's survival for a while yet. I still believe the price will grow but at a slower rate than some other emerging digital currencies that are competing for prime time space in the crypto currency world.

hmm, why do you think so? For example when BitFury was building largest datacenter in Georgia, goverment liked this fact very much and as one of them said, bitcoin is the currency of future and building largest datacenter will help country to be known for many people.
Bitcoin is very changeable in price so no one accept it without converting in $ or other currency, so almost every business converts it and in this moment bank takes fees and they pay some % of this fee to goverment.
