I saw @suchmoon already listed in the spreadsheet. Congratulate to @suchmoon, who is the first accepted applicant for this round. 3 more slots left for the rest of applicants. By the way, do you have any update on that one, LoyceV?
From your given statistics, I played it around myself after doing data entry, then splitting the dataset of 82 applicants into two clusters. The cut-off (at id 41) is choosen arbitrarily, just to half-split the dataset. - First: the first 41 applicants (from id 1 to 41)
- Second: the rest applicants (from id 42 to 82)
- The third cluster is added later, and represents the current 55 participants

Statistics(Just for fun)- In general (all 82 applicants), median of earned merits is 336, with the interquartile range (from p25 to p75) is 107 - 606. It means 50% of applicants have their earned merits from 107 to 606.
- For the first cluster: The median and interquartile range are 132 and 34 - 430.
- For the second cluster: The median and interquartile range are 509 and 300 - 760.
- For the 55 participants: The median and interquartile range are 578 and 310 - 1011.
- Outliers (displayed via red circles in the boxplot): There are only two outliers, that found in first cluster. They are @suchmoon and nutildah, with 2904 and 1258 earned-merits.
- It seems younger generation have better ability to earn merits (among those 82 applicants). The ratio of earned-merits between second and first clusters is: 509/132 ~3.86. It means users in second cluster have ability to earn merits at 3.9-fold higher rate than users in the first cluster.
- It seems that median of earned merits from second cluster is closer to the figure of current 55-participants cluster (509 and 578, respectively) (see second box plot)

In my mind. dothebeats, DaveF, wwzsocki, Nestade, eddie13, joniboini, halab, bitmover, Heisenberg_Hunter, and asu are the leading candidates.
But don't take this as a prediction or whatever. Good luck everyone.

I remember these criteria given by DS before. There is one open slot. This slot is for those who are one (or more) of: - Active in a Local board(s) - Active in Bitcoin Technical Support - Active in Development & Technical Discussion Don't bother applying if you don't fit any of those categories. I don't accept people based on promises, and I will look at more than one page of your post history so don't bother making one or two posts to 'fit' the critera either. Yahoo's LiveCoin blacklist is in effect for this round. Also, PMing me won't help your application. It's just annoying You are selected good applicants and I think these two of them too. crwth and nc50lc.

@tranthidung - nice analysis... but .... ... - It seems younger generation have better ability to earn merits (among those 82 applicants). The ratio of earned-merits between second and first clusters is: 509/132 ~3.86. It means users in second cluster have ability to earn merits at 3.9-fold higher rate than users in the first cluster.
... You can't say that it's just a matter of ability when users are divided in that way. According to me, it is also (or maybe above all) the need and the pressure to be promoted to a higher level. The older cluster comes entirely from before the merits system - the "youngest" of them began his adventure in January 2017 - so he/she could become Sr. Member even before the new system was introduced. Most of the second cluster MUST HAVE EARNED at least some merits to be promoted to Sr. Member or higher rank. But does it means they are really better posters? Not necessarily! Some of them, feeling pressure, hunt for merits while "older" users simply wrote good posts not necessarily in popular categories because they didn't care about merits (in other words, 200 merits earned by a "young" user is not always better than 100 merits earned by an "older" one)... (WTF I'm writing??? - I'm from the end of second cluster )

Nice is an understatement. Worth enrolling in to campaign driven like that, just to see how managing should look like. Not saying this to suck up to LV, I'm simply impressed with what can be done, to make things interesting. Besides, who doesn't like stats? I'm damn sure I do and I need more I know there isn't any more left, maybe something should be done about it?

Some times I start reading your posts and have to do a double-take, lol. Very well laid out, and I like the stats you included. There are a lot of qualified individuals on that list. If Foxpup doesn't mind, then there is a suggestion to change the color of the avatar of one of the users to make it easier to recognize them. Sorry, but I started my avatar campaign in protest of all the other avatar campaigns, which cause the same confusion. How do you feel, for example, about nutildah, DarkStar_, and Pamoldar sharing the same avatar? (There are a zillion others, of course, but those are first users with paid avatars who come to mind who aren't complete shitposters.) Note also that LoyceV and suchmoon were both looking for an avatar campagin to join at the time I proposed mine, so there's a good chance they would have ended up with identical paid avatars without my involvement. Still, if paid avatars bother you guys so much, I suggest petitioning theymos to ban them.

Sorry, but I started my avatar campaign in protest of all the other avatar campaigns, which cause the same confusion. Which rules to apply and wear your avatar. If I can wear your avatar and don't have to wear any signature, I will do it, just in case I fail with my application in ChipMixer, this round. I don't know I have good net effects or not. Since I stand firmly against all these PAID2POST campaigns and feel only NET POSITIVE services should be advertised on the forum, I present..

<...> Still, if paid avatars bother you guys so much, I suggest petitioning theymos to ban them. I think it’s a lot easier to turn off users avatars in the profile settings.

How do you feel, for example, about nutildah, DarkStar_, and Pamoldar sharing the same avatar? (There are a zillion others, of course, but those are first users with paid avatars who come to mind who aren't complete shitposters.) I'm touched that you think so highly of me, to be in the rarefied air of not being a complete shitposter, it brings a tear to my eye. Note also that LoyceV and suchmoon were both looking for an avatar campagin to join at the time I proposed mine, so there's a good chance they would have ended up with identical paid avatars without my involvement.
I was part of the Merit Cycling Club for one sweet week, during which time I managed to trick c......unter into thinking I was Loyce, so it was definitely worth the effort. If you ever open a restaurant called The Merit Fountain let me know and I will advertise it for you.
