The user with red trust is not being immediately removed, they can have some time to sort it out.
I don't see that red being removed in the near future. However I like the fact you give the members time to deal with it.
Seems like "old" trust ratings are coming back to haunt some people with the big shake up in the DT system.

The neg trust on the user is from over a year ago (Dec 2017), has no reference link and seems to be an "I don't like you" neg trust Undecided

Median value is 212 merits earned.

So I'm just about scraping into the marginally-above-average category.  Good to know I'm pulling my weight.   Grin

Damn has it really climbed that high? I've been doing my best, really, and in the past months trying to "specialise" in an area I'm personally active in - mixed results, if I'm honest. When first started out, was getting it at a steady rate of activity growth (1:1). That gap's been widening but yeah, good to know the guys like us are still... pulling weight. If only marginally!

Did anyone of us expect this when we first joined? Strangely, I only knew about CM because I was pursuing a news story at the time.

It seems an issue to specialise on the forum. You seem to have to be everywhere in order to get merit in large amounts or at least stay on the meta board for large amounts of time which just gets annoying.
There's a merti unbalance between people making info graphics that get merit and people that just moan about parts of the forum and forum members...

The applications in this campaign were very stringent so I wasn't too surprised we'd have a margin. Although to be honest, the margin we have is quite huge. Loyce and ddmr have definitely screwed it, I've not seen much of ddmr but Loyce seems to have deserved the merits he's got.

I didn't expect to be so close to the median either, my earnt merit is quite tiny..

Obviously; given that they use free certs this should be trivial.

It happens once in a while, I think the certificate is only valid for 3 months.
So they aren't even able to automate the renewal; that doesn't sound good to me.

May be the service provider they are with do not have auto renewal feature. It's a not an uncommon practice. I hope they come back soon. There is nothing to worry at the moment.

They use Let's Encrypt's free certificates from what I can tell; their certificates can be easily auto renewed and this is encouraged (which is one of the reasons their validity is short).

I am not well informed so i have no statement about it. But what I know is that there are different kind of SSLs to serve different purpose. When you buy SSL from a service provider then they may not necessarily provide the auto renewal feature.

It's kind of how someone wants to run their service. Every single providers have their own choice.

I used to use HostGator for my hosting previously later I found out that they do not allow to modify the mod_security function. I tried to explain why It is important for me but they have their terms which I had to accept. On the other hand, I have to run my business too. So, I decided to move from them. I had to chose one who allows mod_security to modify.

In reality, most of the big service providers provide modification of mod_security but in this case hostgator had something different in mind.

Could this be a security feature, so that the site can't be used for long if the server is taken (by authorities)?

You don't need to make a statement; I know what I'm talking about as this is literally the same setup that I've been using for a very long time.

They are hosted on Vultr (at least the front-end is), there should be no such restrictions for their VPSes.

No. The authorities could trivially issue another certificate from Let's encrypt if they had control of the server. It requires you to just run 1 command.

Site is still live and you can login as well but your login details or other credential details will not safe.

I have too. And glitches happen. Depending on how they automated it, there are quite a few scenarii that can explain a non working automatic renewal. Happened to me once or twice in the last couple years.

The thread is dead, the account is inactive and Darkstar isn't. So mind your own business.

LoyceV claims it happened before, so I doubt it's a recurring glitch.

Account last active is on 23rs January you can't call it inactive. Even Darkstar keep users who are offline for more than 10 days.
The thread is also not dead the last post by admin on 15th Jan. Do you want that they keep posting in thread anything?
Why don't you use their contact us option: https://chipmixer.com/about

is Darkstar is the part of the team of chipmixer?

It did happen before, and the only comment given about it was that the renewal process is done manually.

As to the why, i don't think anyone has ever gotten a response regarding that. Perhaps they know something we don't  ?

Thanks. So it's a known thing; I'll just wait it out then. I do wonder why they prefer to do it manually.
