Strange coin, still nothing with --scrypt as flags, 1000KH/s and 30 min. Either too much lag or I'm just dumb. Without --scrypt I can get rejects consistently...

I don't know what you are doing wrong but I have found 50 btb in the first hour

Low latency connection, blocks are coming so fast that every milisecond counts.

I agree something strange here.

I am getting rejects (unknown) long before the LP.

example:

Code:
[2013-05-02 13:33:40] LONGPOLL from pool 0 detected new block
 [2013-05-02 13:34:03] Found block for pool 0!
 [2013-05-02 13:34:03] Rejected 004de54b Diff 841/592 BLOCK! GPU 0 pool 0 (unknown)
 [2013-05-02 13:35:11] Found block for pool 0!
 [2013-05-02 13:35:11] Rejected 002718d7 Diff 1.68K/592 BLOCK! GPU 0 pool 0 (unknown)
[2013-05-02 13:35:37] LONGPOLL from pool 0 detected new block
[2013-05-02 13:37:34] LONGPOLL from pool 0 detected new block
 [2013-05-02 13:37:37] Found block for pool 0!
[2013-05-02 13:37:37] LONGPOLL from pool 0 detected new block
 [2013-05-02 13:37:37] Accepted 0023c0d1 Diff 1.83K/699 BLOCK! GPU 0 pool 0
 [2013-05-02 13:38:10] Found block for pool 0!
 [2013-05-02 13:38:10] Rejected 0045fc3a Diff 936/700 BLOCK! GPU 1 pool 0 (unknown)
[/s]

Notice the strange times between the rejected blocks and the long poll. Many of you are getting lots of orphans because you are mining with getwork directly to the daemon.

Using a private Pushpool like above, I should not be getting that much time between rejection (assume orphan) and the LP.

I could smack myself on the forehead    Shocked

I forgot to set the blocknotify option in the coin config file to trip the longpolls.....oops

That is the reason for the strangeness...LOL

FTC also had a few seconds blocks at the start. at least difficulty is constantly increasing on bitbar

Yes, all the latest scamcoins all used the "pre-mine right in front of everyone's eyes, bribing the first few hours of readers/miners into jumping aboard the pre-mine" approach.

Ever tried starting a bitcoin clone with just one "only a few years old in 2009" CPU and see how long blocks take when you mine them all by yourself with just your own CPU? Even testnet took a while to find a new genesis block for with just one CPU, and testnet was 16 times less initial difficulty than bitcoin!

Nowadays you have to figure on not even just one rig of four or so 7950's, since you know at least a few other miners have to jump aboard for it to have any hope of taking off. So you probably need to set initial difficulty to a level where it will take at least ten such rigs to not have it take 24 hours per block!

cgminer --scrypt -o 127.0.0.1:9344 -u user -p password --temp-target 70 --intensity 20 --worksize 256 -g 1 --thread-concurrency 16384 -E 1

Ive been running for about 4 minutes and I have 3 accepted and nothing in my wallet.

i set up bitbar.conf, and I'm 99% sure everything is correct.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. But this is not the expectation of the public, so such a coin wouldn't get the hype. And it is still better in this case than for FTC/CNC where difficulty readjustment was done after x hours - here is's increasing continously.

Can someone post what's supposed to be in the bitbar.conf?

Keep getting "Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid"
