14% isn't too bad but could always be better...at least it is lower than the overall pool rate, so shouldn't affect you.

What miner are you using? P2Pool can be picky with miner settings. If you're using cgminer try using these flags to improve performance on Harvestcoin :

-Q 0 -g 1 --intensity d --gpu-dyninterval 50

Also, it is common for it to take some time to see payments come through on P2Pool, so give it a good 24-48 hours of testing before you make any decisions on it.

Thanks again for trying it!

i'm using cgminer
i have already tried those settings, and they reduce my hashrate a bit, which is ideal with intensity =7
anyway i'll test it, for 24 hours, thank you

Pool stats package has been updated to the excellent interface by hardcpp.

For Bitcoin mining or stats go to :

http://mining.harvestcoin.com:9332

For Litecoin mining or stats go to :

Just a quick reminder to the people who are mining on Harvestcoin(thank you by the way!), to reduce DOA(Dead On Arrival's) please tune your miner(cgminer/bfgminer) with the following options :

-Q 0 -g 1 --intensity d --gpu-dyninterval 50

Because of fast longpooling in p2pool it is better to NOT fetch work ahead. Dyninterval sets the maximum amount of time a GPU should be blocked, it's set in milliseconds. 50ms is a good compromise because the hashrate is still good and the maximum blocked time is still less than 0.5% of the share interval of P2Pool so can't influence its efficiency much (theoretically at most 0.25%).

Thanks to gyverlb for this recommendation... see more in his excellent guide at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153232.0

By us all tuning our miners we can have a more efficient pool and hence more profitable! Thanks!

I know I'm currently only having a very small hashrate because of cpu mining with the litecoin wallet, but somehow this looks strange to me:

I'm not getting any payments since 2 days, but my hashrate hasn't changed...

First of all, thanks very much for mining at Harvestcoin!

Yes, you are right in what you say that your hashrate is probably the reason for the slow payouts. If you look at the second graph you will see a short horizontal line which indicates that your miners managed to get a share submitted and then during that period of the line being present, IF a block was found by the entire P2Pool network you would have been paid that amount.

As you can see the line disappeared later on, so that meant that the share is no longer valid and even if the pool finds a block, you will not receive any payment.

I would suggest that you try and increase your hashrate to try and get more shares submitted in P2Pool..have a look at other miners hashrates and how it affects the payout line in the second graph.

Also, we are in a strange bad luck time right now across the whole P2Pool network where very few blocks are being found...could just be a phase or might have more to do with the network difficulty going up recently...still not too sure.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Sorry, just realized that you were mining Litecoins, not Bitcoins...so just ignore the last part about the network difficulty...was thinking about Bitcoin there...but the other advice still stands.

Cheers!

Thanks for your help. I'm sending my gpu miner to your pool for a while to see if my hasrate is too low.

Thanks for giving it a go...just be aware that when you're mining on P2Pool it is worth giving it a good 24 hours of mining with a decent hashrate to accurately see what sort of payouts you will get. The Litecoin P2Pool is finding blocks regularly so once you get a share accepted, you should payments coming through...just takes a bit of patience.

Cheers.

Have noticed a bit of a shift towards mining Litecoin on Harvestcoin. If you've traditional mined Bitcoin but are frustrated by the increase in difficulty, please feel free to try mining Litecoins at Harvestcoin.

Point your miner to :
http://mining.harvestcoin.com:9327 and use your Litecoin address as username and anything as password.

Stats for the pool can also be found at the above URL.

Thanks and happy mining!

To all Litecoin miners on Harvestcoin; I will be building the new version of Litecoin soon and restarting the server to avail of the cheaper fees changes.

Will let you know when it is complete.

Newbie miner here.  I'm still figuring things out.

I love the simplicity of your website.  Beautiful.

After I connect, I get more rejects than accepted.  Is that normal?

Edit: also, almost constant "Stratum from pool 0 requrested work restart."

Cool ---> Who will mine the next 777 Block??? Place your bets at block777.com!!!

Hi RangerK,

Thanks for trying Harvestcoin, appreciate it.

If you could give me more information about your mining setup we can try and get you mining more efficiently :

1: Which coin are you mining? We do Bitcoin AND Litecoin at Harvestcoin.
2: What miner are you using? I would suggest cgminer if you're not already using it; I can suggest some configurations which will help you mine on Harvestcoin.
3: What percentage of rejects are you getting? This could be a miner config issue, so the information you provide in number 2 above should help us sort that out.

The "Stratum from pool 0 requrested work restart." is perfectly normal on a pool such as Harvestcoin as it uses server side software called P2Pool and this is a standard message from this server; it does indicate any issue with your mining setup.

Thanks again for trying it and lets hope we can get you mining well.
