Turn $10,000 into 1 Million

I had the screenshot, but I didn't get the trade off and I'm feeling a little shitty about that now. Nothing big, just minor profit taking and a minor portfolio rebalancing. Nonetheless, it hurts because it was due to a bad decision. I tried to get a little too cute and the market went fast and got away and I didn't sell and wasn't willing to sell at a lower price. If I had left my original offer in place, I would have been filled.    No big deal if you're trading with the trend as you'll usually be forgiven - I expect LTC to move to much higher highs. So the only thing I have to show for it is the opportunity to show you I'm just a normal guy and another lesson about how important it is to follow your rules.

If I were looking to buy back, which I'm obviously not, these would be the levels.

Looks like your analysis went down in the present time..  this thread can be help a lot to learn more about trading strategy and how to make a large profit.. since you directly trading crypto to crypto its possible to make your profit double..  because you are directly  bitcoin to litecoin..
We are just following your progress and hope that you can get the good result..

My first post so please be kind!  A good friend of mine at work mentioned he was in this trading market so I decided to "jump in" with an initial investment of $10K (with $1K already in GMT/LSK; $3K in LTC and the rest in BTC that I want to use to purchase shares of "A", "B" and "C" to build a long-term portfolio).

He bought into ETH when it was at $11 so he is very happy with his investment.

Given my initial investment is equal to this thread subject, I wanted to post and ask where is the best places to learn what/where is best to place money into?  If there are some links, advice, etc..., I would greatly appreciate any feedback as I am not naive and realize my $10K may never increase and may indeed decrease to zero but I'm all in for the mid-to-long term.

There are no real good places to link to for that. This is the most dog-eat-dog world you'll ever see, and good information of that sort is hard to come by. There is no Standard and Poor's for crypto. Everyone promotes their own crypto though, even the hucksters. So your best bet is to always start by looking for what's wrong with whatever you're looking at, and when you can't find that, start asking how much you want to invest.

Lots of reading and research, patience, resolve and collaboration. Don't get in a hurry. This bull market will last for years.

But nothing goes up in a straight line.

Yeah, when you look at it from a USD perspective, LTC isn't looking bad at all. Still above the upper Boll and the MACD still climbing!

I don't think you'll be able to do this, I think this portfolio can make some money though just nothing near THAT INSANE AMOUNT OF PERCENTAGE INCREASE ON THE VALUE.

Current portfolio holdings percentage distribution:

LTC 53%
BTS 13.7%
SYS 9%
NLG 8%
GRS 6%
NXT 4.5%

Since I think we're going to see another leg higher that could be powerful and that could take us up close to a cycle top, I'm pretty much going to leave things alone and, instead of rebalancing, focus on profit taking, most likely taking those profits directly to BTC.

Possible with your strategy but it may take quite a long time before you can grow your 10k to a million. Though i agree with you there. The safest way would be to diversify your 10k into several alts and put a lot of effort. Or you can gamble all in a single alt a couple of times. That can grow your capital a lot faster but much more riskier

I have a little doubt that there are such opportunities that led to 10,000 dollars to 1,000,000 in short lines. Despite the fact that bitcoin still holds a price, it does not make money on the stock exchange on the price fluctuation.

Maybe I think he's relying on luck, he uses random trading techniques, indeed in that way sometimes we can have a chance to get big profits, but if he wrongly stepped on, he will get big losses.

100 times increase is not normally possible with coins with large market capitalization, such as Bitcoin and Ehereum. Bitcoin is already having a market cap of around $40 billion, and a 100 times increase would mean that it's market cap becomes almost equal to that of gold. So we can only expect 100x returns from the new altcoins, such as Torcoin and Skycoin (ever heard about them?)

You are right, I did realize that also that's why I am more focus on investing in altcoins and participate in the ICO as I can buy with a discount since most do offer a bonus. Recently, I participated in primal and it was sold out already so the next thing that I will do is just to be patient and hold longer.

There's nothing random about what I'm doing. It's all very well researched and thought out. It's also built on years (decades actually) of trading financial instruments.

The "components" of my portfolio are selected based on best possibility long term survival criteria, which means that I'm picking candidates that I think have an extremely high probability of succeeding long term.

They also need to be somewhat undiscovered and have a very high appreciation potential.

Those two portfolio filters eliminate the very well established like BTC, and everything very speculative at the other end of the spectrum. As I've said before in this thread, it's not easy to find suitable candidates.

BTW, ETH was an eventual 100x just a year and a half ago. For DASH that would be around 2 years ago.

It's not easy, but it's not impossible either.

Yup icos would be your best chance of earning that huge percentage though i wouldn't really spend a huge amount on that because i'm nit really sure of the risks. There already are a couple.of times when i got more than 50x my capital with an upcoming ico. Research about it and the developers would be a good idea before investing in one
