This thread needs one of those "this thread is gold" memes.

Good job OP, love to read success stories/journals, keep growing.

For anyone considering buying Bitshares, here's some decent TA.

https://twitter.com/Cryptographic2u/status/890631632742359041

Interesting thread, going to follow it. If you do not mind me asking, what is TA?

most probably it means "technical analysis"

Just bought 1 BTC worth of each. Breaking rules here and going very overweight both basically because I don't care if prices on these two go lower short term - long term these are big time winners, digital milk cow "retirement fund" candidates.

The first 1/8 and the last 1/8 are the hardest to make and I try not to make them my concern.

I also hope August is better - it will certainly start off that way as everyone scrambles to get back in.

Yes, it's true. If you are trading that all coin in the lowest prices then sell it now. You will became a millioner when you do that but its hard to predict coin who is pumping or dumping so that it makes us deliberate for it to take good decisions.
Wow pumping or dumping it is pumping but not dumping. Why you are mentioning dumping? dumping happen everywhere but yes I would say something nobody want a good thing drops as it then people make rumors bitcoin is going to change world. It would rise to $5000 in just that year soon which is 100% confirmed by miners so I would say that kindly do not mention dumping.

Wow! pretty amazing results so far. Do you trade purely on technical analysis? Or is there more research into each coin? Also, what exchange do you use for buying/selling?

Technical analysis don't work for anything at all. It is complete bullshit. The only viable analysis is the fundamental analysis.

Something is either too cheap or too expensive to buy/sell. That is all you need to take into account.

For altcoins technical is difficult to work because majority of the coins which exits today will definitely not be seen or heard tomorrow. Only the handful will survive in this mad race of everyone coming with new ICO of their coin.

You should integrate some tokens into your portfolio. Tokens will become the easiest way to make x30 or x40 profit.

What signs would you look for re. entry over the near-term? Assuming I'm okay with using BTC as the reference metric for my portfolio (as opposed to fiat), is it fair to say that if these present BTC/Alt ratios hold post 8/1 (lol) that this is a...reasonable...point for entry?

For instance, BTC/STEEM is hanging around where you started in May, so by that metric, it looks much better now than a month ago. On the flip side, BTC/fiat is awful right now. I get more STEEM for my BTC, but start with less BTC overall soooo... (I guess just do the math?).

Got greedy with the last correction and actually had a bunch of limits whiff just below the bottom. Been playing much more conservatively since then and ultimately been camping out like 80% in fiat for the last month (little dips in/out) because I really didn't trust the upswing. Portfolio is green, but I think I'm missing the forest for the trees. Kept hoping for one more selloff...

Ultimately want to take a position and mostly hold. Clearly a risky time to buy BTC, can't tell what to look for for making the Fiat -> BTC -> Alt jump though. :/

And as always, I appreciate the updates on how your numbers are looking. Smiley

We had key reversal days off of support yesterday on LTC, BTS, STEEM, PIVX, NLG and completed a morning star reversal on SYS. If I were a buyer (I'm already 100%) this would be a damned good place to buy. Remember that this is high risk and that you shouldn't "invest" more than you could lose without it hurting too badly.  Wink

BTW, I just sold the last of my NXT. Probably way too soon since it looks like a pump, but the offer was in and the decision had already been made.  Undecided

Edit:

Put the proceeds into NLG to bring it's weighting up a bit.  Smiley

Thats a big portion of your portfolio on LTC. You still plan on holding it all the way to 1M even when Bitcoin is already getting segwit (one of the primary reasons that boosted LTC price)?

Always possible, it just needs hardwork.
Nothing can be done with easy work.
especially 1 million, you have to check every day and get involved in pumping,... the answer is possible, keep your eyes to any issues

Excellent thread! Whats your thoughts on XEL (Elastic)? Also do you have twitter?

Thank You!

I don't know anything about XEL. I'll have to give it a look over.

No plans to hold anything ad infinitum at this point. Later on that might change though. If we get up above $200 on LTC I might start dumping.  Wink

Going to rotate out of what's behaved like a dog into a high spec: XEM > more MCO.  Grin
