Turn $10,000 into 1 Million

This is what a theoretical Week 29 Update would look like.

ADA grew to 54% of the total portfolio last night. That’s a fairly good concentration, and something I personally wouldn’t let go without rebalancing. As you know from reading this thread, I mentioned on the 1st of December that I had rebalanced my personal portfolio on the first ADA spike higher. I’m sure it won’t be too much of a surprise for you to learn that I’ve done the same again. And I’m still fairly overweight ADA!

To the question as to how the locked model portfolio is doing in comparison with my real portfolio, the truth is that until yesterday the balanced portfolio was still winning, both in percentage terms and absolute terms, even after having taken a little more than 10% profits cleanly off the top (a nice little fiat payday to brighten up the holiday season). However, with yesterday’s doubling in ADA, the locked portfolio took the lead in daily percentage gains. There's a lot of risk to assume in order to do that though, and with the likes of true 100x prospects like STEEM and SYS falling below 7.5% and 9%, respectively, there really are good places to put those ADA profits that will probably catapult the balanced portfolio higher sooner or later, while reducing substantial overall risk at the same time.

How about a portfolio competition?

Using today’s price to establish opening position cost basis, the following portfolio has a minimum target of $100,000 (if everything goes wrong) and a maximum (still conservative) target of $1,000,000. (Explaining the reasons why goes beyond the scope of this friendly competition.)

Litecoin (LTC) – 50%
BitShares (BTS) – 10%
STEEM (STEEM) – 10%
Syscoin (SYS) – 10%
Nxt (NXT) – 10%
PIVX (PIVX) – 5%
NEM (XEM) – 5%

We’ll see how it does. Wish me luck!

That is a great thing to so diversify your money into different coins because relying in one coins is a big mistake because if that coin fail you will left with nothing. And that is really possible because hose altcoins are now making a name in the Industry and there are rumors that will pump a lot more in the next couple of years. And knowing that you are now investing in them in their lowest point you holdings will probably gonna be worth millionss when the day comes that those coins you had invested are already successful just like bitcoins. They are gonna be a huge inspiration through a lot of people

I would like to know if you could let us know about the coins that you think that could be good investment in the future and are starting now - new baby coins.
Not well known projects that could skyrocket in the future like ADA did.
Coins that are outside your portfolio nowadays.

Yes, he would've made more money selling his alts at their BTC ATH, but the second best option was to buy these altcoins in May

Holding BTC from may till now wouldn't have netted him nearly as much as he has now

All I can say that your portfolio is great! I should say that those coins you were talking about are for long term trade! Right now those coins are now profiting. Only if you hodled still until now.

He is no an early adopter. He started his $10,000 or worth with bitcoin on early May, 2017. No one kniws too if bitcoin would be rise so high until now, it's pure luck. And do you know if he was invested almost all $10,000 in different altcoins.

I think that no one knows one's fortune. there may be some people who can calculate it, but can not do it. but there are also people who can not do that accumulation, but unknowingly they have done it. well, so I feel that changing $ 10000 to $ 1 M is not impossible.

Not sure if this was done already but out of curiosity I went back to calculate a buy and hold strategy using HR's OP which was:

$10k investment:
50% LTC
10% BTS
10% STEEM
10% SYS
10% NXT
5% PIVX
5% NEM

After checking the value of each coin on his post date (May 27th 2017) I then compared it to today's market price in USD. Maths seem to show that if HR bought and held with no re-balancing or change of holdings:

LTC: $59k
BTS: 14k
STEEM: 3.6k
SYS: 7.3k
NXT: 49k
PIVX: 6.5k
NEM: 2.6k

Total: 142k

His current portfolio's (with different holdings and %'s) worth 513k, so HR's made an extra 371k compared to buy and hold. Absolutely amazing. It also shows that if you have no financial knowledge of trading and just picked good alts with fundamentals you still would've made 14x your initial investment within 7 months. Sounds almost too good to be true, have I missed anything here?

He made most of his profits from cardano. He somehow knew that its gonna be big. That's the key to his success. He knew it before the masses know it. That's how it is.

People who can't sense these things or don't do proper research shouldn't do what he does. Buy&hold is usually better for them.

That was like this with bitcoin, was the same for eth and now cardano. Early investors took the risk and made the most buck. Now many people know that bitcoin has the minimum risk most of them buying btc, and naturally making less

P.S I would cash out my money after reaching 500k+ no need to prove anything further imho. 500k$ should be enough for an average person to retire himself.

I think this thread succeeded its target already.
