Turn $10,000 into 1 Million

To turn $ 10,000 to 1 million needs more time in trading and more and more information about the daily price of coins .......and the most important is the luck ...

Not sure if this was done already but out of curiosity I went back to calculate a buy and hold strategy using HR's OP which was:

$10k investment:
50% LTC
10% BTS
10% STEEM
10% SYS
10% NXT
5% PIVX
5% NEM

After checking the value of each coin on his post date (May 27th 2017) I then compared it to today's market price in USD. Maths seem to show that if HR bought and held with no re-balancing or change of holdings:

LTC: $59k
BTS: 14k
STEEM: 3.6k
SYS: 7.3k
NXT: 49k
PIVX: 6.5k
NEM: 2.6k

Total: 142k

His current portfolio's (with different holdings and %'s) worth 513k, so HR's made an extra 371k compared to buy and hold. Absolutely amazing. It also shows that if you have no financial knowledge of trading and just picked good alts with fundamentals you still would've made 14x your initial investment within 7 months. Sounds almost too good to be true, have I missed anything here?

1400% in 7 months is definitely amazing. No banks will give you that

He made most of his profits from cardano. He somehow knew that its gonna be big. That's the key to his success. He knew it before the masses know it. That's how it is.

People who can't sense these things or don't do proper research shouldn't do what he does. Buy&hold is usually better for them.

P.S I would cash out my money after reaching 500k+ no need to prove anything further imho. 500k$ should be enough for an average person to retire himself.

Based on his knowledge, I'm of the opinion that HR will keep going. Pretty sure he has the means to retire already, money becomes a game of high scores at this point for skilled traders like him. I'd definitely want to see what he does if there is significant volatility in some of his key holdings.

That is right, we have to turn $10k into a million just like him, it is up to us if we really want to earn, we really need to focus just like them, in all aspect in life for us to be able to become rich, and actually it is also useless to have a big income but you do have much expenses, much more than your income so it is useless.

Hehe, honestly if he just hold Bitcoin from the time started this thread (the price of Bitcoin is 2000 dollars in that time), he still can earn profits x10 after same time. However, trade altcoin helped him earn more 400% from that amount, he is really a good trader.

Exactly. He forgot that there is also bitcoin but he gave all his attention of his altcoins. Traders should always allot a good portion of bitcoin because it's still the champ after all.

Cardano (ADA) has performed very nicely. Depending on how low your average price was (and when), it?s a 4x to 8x in USD terms. A very nice gain. What?s really important for me though is that it?s pushing a 50% portfolio position, and, well, that?s just not good portfolio management. Consequently, I?ve balanced my personal portfolio by selling ADA and buying more STEEM, BTS, and SYS, in that order. The model portfolio is ?locked? and will continue to be so (I?m interested in seeing if it ends up achieving better long term returns than my managed portfolio), but that doesn't apply to my personal portfolio which at least trys to emulate best practice principles.

I had no choice but to rebalance.
 
I also have fun selling strength and buying weakness, so it wasn't that hard.

In regards to your re-balancing, I think you said that once a coin moves 5% beyond its allocated share will be re-balanced. I'm assuming you sell off the extra %, and move that into one that's lagged behind. How do you decide which to move into?

That may or may not multiply $10k into $1m . If it will work, definitely it will take years. The coins that can give you such multiplication are coins that the value has not been realised by anyone but few people before the price spark

However, I do want to make a small recommendation. Do not be too obsessed with $1,000,000. You are already doing great.

From $470k to $1mm, you could need to bet on one altcoin or maybe just sit on bitcoin.

You can really make $10,000 into 1 million if you have a lot of determination then you could easily make that into million because making millions is not hard for the people who have a lot of great determination and patience. Just like in trading, if you are patient then you can make that into million in just a few months.

You can sell to coinbase/gdax.  Its not difficult but paying the taxes will suck.

It is very outdated, the OP of this thread doesnt have probably one million dollars because he has probably dumped all his coins, if he didn't he would have more than $1m at the moment, probably a little bit more.

The problem with these or other type of "myFxbook" type of trading tracking options are that they go thru very bad drawdowns.

Some drawdowns are like 30% at one point. Imagine sending $100,000 and at one point being down 30%.

Also the last few months, it was easy to make money trading since everything went up. During sideways trading and bear markets his gains won't be like this.
