Look at what the Ethereum difficulty has done in the last 2 weeks.
By the time you get those cards you are searching for they'll be earning 25% less.  Undecided

The impact of every AMD video card on the planet coming online:

http://www.coinwarz.com/difficulty-charts/ethereum-difficulty-chart

Yep, buddy of mine just lit up a 240 GPU mini farm last week hashing 7GH on ETH. Planning to add another 400 cards over the next few weeks, slowly turning into a mini whale.

Omg. It's the cancer of this planet - looking for more profit, when difficulty is going skyhigh... Why everybody can't be good with 10-20-50 gpus even 100. No everybody whose in take not 10 but 200 cards burning lots of power (especially in Ukraine or Russia or Belarus where power cost is 2-4c), they mine like hell, but it's going to be less for everyone when they try to catch up with the biggest cake... 1000 gpus farms are now small... My god what it has ddone. About 19M Cards is mining eth alone? WTF?
Mining centralization just like with Bitcoin. We all knew this wasn't going to be "everybody gets a little bit" for long. AMD could give less of a fuck because their cards are selling like hotcakes, I personally hope Vega won't be like this or it'll be another shitshow. I assure you there are ten thousand card mining facilities out there. If Bitcoin had not gotten ASICs I guarantee you this situation would also have happened.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

It's greed.

The people with a fuck load of capital want to crave themselves out a large slice of the pie, so they can earn more than the next farm.  But it is a vicious cycle, the more gpu's added the more you need to add to stay competitive and then electricity slowly eats away at the profit.  That is when a coin goes sideways instead of pumping.

It screws the small miners and gamers AND it screws AMD long term in the gaming market.  Gamers want a card can't buy AMD and see it is priced high so they go with Nvidia which shrinks their gaming market that they earn the most from.

Well that's just how the mining game works.

in crypto people are greedy fucks, thats for sure.  nothing you can do about it I guess.  At least your not an ordinary person just trying to build a gaming rig, and wanted an rx580 or something.  Its like 7970 days all over again.  People smell money, and they'll milk it until they kill the cow.  it would be better to treat the cow good, but people are garbage.

To be fair AMD is selling cards like hotcakes right now due to miners, it doesn't matter to AMD how or where they get their profit. 500 series is supposedly going to be decimated by Vega anyways, so there's little reason for them to ramp up production on these current cards. It'll satisfy both gamers and miners alike hopefully, but the question is if AMD will pump out cards fast enough or will money just pour into nVidia because of low supply.

No cards available but difficulty is increasing? Someone is adding 100,000's of cards but nothing is moving thru the retail chain.
Too me it's sounding like AMD is mining ethereum themselves and just delaying shipments.

Or big miners just getting their cards through different channels. I'm buying 4x 1060 3gb cause it's not so worse than rx470 (like 20%), but instead of 150w it burns only 100w, so in the end it will burn less power. And I can actually sell nvidia after prices go too low to mine, with satisfactionary price and when they dump all rx's it will be half price again like with 7950 in 2014-15.

Not as many is why people don't buy them. Nowadays people want the most cards for the most hashpower, really with GPU mines your margin of profit is so large that it is tiny when calculating total profit. Guys want the fastest profit, and it seems to be with AMD.

I bought 5 570 in Poland in April from first delivery, but since a month it's impossible to find a decent card in retail apart from Asus Strix and alike priced for equivalent of 350+ euro. Even if you query distributors, you get unknown ETA. But a friend bought cards straight from caseking thanks to delay - they made a mistake in his order and offered him some 570s, so he took all 7 cards available they had. Smiley my guess is also that cards are sold before they even reach retail distribution.
And the market is so dried up, and people hyped, that it's even difficult to buy a second-hand Tahiti locally.
I've ordered 4x1060 6 GB for next rig to keep up with diff increase, but I'm not sure what happens when Vega/Volta arrive. I guess we have to hope for circle to complete like with 7970s - once bubble breaks, people will leave in panic and the market will slowly return to normal.

new batch of asus 580 8gb is 380 euros and they were sold out in 2 hours in Hungary...Distributor said that chiniese miners are paying 30+ dollars then factory is asking to get them first so this might be the reason for no cards for the rest of the world

That explains why the difficulty goes up but no one can buy any.

I suspected that the big farms would do something like that.

Amazon is now on backorder for these cards. No estimate when they will be delivered. They played me once with this game. No stock and I waited 4 weeks then they canceled my order because they couldn't get any stock.

The  red dragon must be flying out the door at newegg. They had a limit of two per customer, now its one per customer.
