The issue of legality of Bitcoin in india still remains a conundrum, leaving everyone confused. The government still holds the criticism that Bitcoin investment is just like fraudulent investment schemes. However, America's recent acceptance of Bitcoin and other powerful countries like Germany, Canada etc will in no time attract India's interest in accepting it.

The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still undefined or changing in many of them. Whereas the majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal, its status as money (or a commodity) varies, with differing regulatory implications. While some countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade, others have banned or restricted it. Likewise, various government agencies, departments, and courts have classified bitcoins differently. ...

Basically the enormous burden of proof will have to fall on elected officials and legal experts with 20+ minimum experience practicing in the field to cite good cause as to how and why they should ban the currency, if they even can, how these regulation/criminal code changes will be executed/implemented and what to do with those U.S citizens that have a stake invested in bitcoin in which they have 0 probable cause to seize such as a commodity. Just sounds like even if it was illegal the burden of proof would be enormous to be able to convict beyond a reasonable doubt the use of bitcoin especially when people get better with security methods such as using tor and linux-based operating systems as well as the manner in which they browse (different cpus, thumb drives, changing IPs as well as using wireless that either doesnt belong to you or are public hot spots).
Legally speaking even IF the regulations were CLEARLY spelled out word for word the execution and interpretation of this law (indictment and conviction under a jury-trial giving the defense every legal opportunity awarded to him) is virtually impossible, even for a government as big and powerful as the U.S. Hell even China couldnt do this which is why ppl are finally putting real value and equity (or transferring should i say) into BTC... the foundation of the method of exchange, ledger and storage of such currency is just too sound and the security will only get BETTER over time.

I believe Bitcoin will be a legal tender in the long term. Every government that is opposed to the usage of Bitcoin is afraid of loosing its control of the countries monetary system. I believe it will be used alongside fiat currencies until they are wiped off.

It is actually depend in what country you are in. Bot all countries are banning bitcoin. In fact it is legal to other countries already. In our country its not banned, not legal but we can still do bitcoin. I think depend in which state you are in.

Every country have their own policy in order to maintain and stabilize economy fundamental. Personally I support bitcoin because it's faster and cheaper compare fiat ( WU ) but my government look bitcoin as criminal currency so that's why they not legalize bitcoin.
Every decision your government make will affect on your economy fundamental , it's subjective judgement , IMO

If the government is against the black money the easier solution is to regulate BTC, because if they ban it, people will continue using Bitcoins and government won't have control over it, regulating can make things easier to manage for the government, what doesn't mean it will be better for ordinary people using Bitcoin for honest purposes.
I think if bitcoin is managed by the government will certainly change all rules that have become bitcoin performance system, of course function of bitcoin freedom will be eroded by new regulations that may be applied by government The main reason as to why Bitcoin was created was to fight against the corrupted governments and especially banks. But you know, there is always a time when we should sacrifice one thing to allow bitcoin to survive. I am for the regulations. But they should not impose such strict ones even for the taxes because people want to start something, not to give it to the governments. I hope they legalize it as soon as possible.

It should be to sustain future healthy for a long term. I wish my country steps forward to receive crypto. Recent news from India and Pakistan slightly disappoints though it does not affect crypto a lot. Increase in investors from India into crypto have caused RBI to bring decision against bitcoin and other crypto currencies. I am sure internal politics linked with a business personality's road map behind the business man brings his own crypto currency in Indian market.

I think bitcoin already declare as legal, because the follow all compliance and requirements of the law; which gives them a juridical personality and authority to operate in the industry.

Many economists around the world, presently, predict an inflationary expectations for Bitcoin in the near future; so it is the right moment to takes real steps towards regulating Bitcoin. Moreover, not only Bitcoin, but also other Altcoins have become a part and parcel of the existing economy. The world economy is on the verge of a transformative change regarding the monetary system.

Bitcoin is a dominant currency because many people supporting it from the difference in the world and when it comes to legal, there are some countries showing interest towards the Bitcoin and its technology. FOr technology based we need to wait a lot of time for it in order to explore.

There are no regulations governing bitcoins in India. It may be recalled that the Reserve Bank of India had in February this year advised that it has not given any licence/ authorisation to any entity/ company to operate such schemes or deal with bitcoins or any virtual currency

See when compared to previous year we have seen some countries have already legalized the Bitcoin for payment. For other countries they have certain rules to follow and in order to reorganise them it will take lot of time. But surely many countries will start accepting bitcoin as legal one in their countries.

some country has made bitcoin as legal but some other countries are waiting a time to give a declaration about bitcoin. I agree that we need to still give a support to bitcoin so bitcoin can be accepted in all countries and bitcoin can answer for our problem in the financial section. with the g20 yesterday, we can see that many countries agree with bitcoin and bitcoin is already become legal in their countries. soon, the other countries which are not accepted bitcoin will think about this and finally, they will accept bitcoin too.
