I have started to use Amazon instance recently. To those who would not know it: it is a cloud based VPS service from Amazon.

I think, it is great that Amazon has this offer and I am thinking about buying a paid license for the future. But it will be the freedom of decision and I wish to prepare for more than one possible outcomes. This is a popular service so I think collecting the good advice here would help many people.

I would like to see advice such as what to consider if we wish to save our funds in case we prefer another provider's service for after the trial, how much money we need on our debit card (since Amazon locks funds every now and then) and so on... Let us turn it into a helpful discussion!

(Let us keep it at the general market information I think, good advice that everyone can benefit from)

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I am sorry because not that many was interested in collecting advice related the service. However, I was happy to make my first via-SSH installs on my AWS Ubuntu 16.04 LTS server and managed to install GUI and a VNC server too. Now, I can access it in a more comfortable way. During this process, I met with more than one issue that I had to resolve. So, if you have any issue related your AWS Ubuntu server, you may PM me to make this thread re-open.
