Boom! We left February with a big bang. 14000 posts in one month, and that's 28 days!

No, the posting record is a bit higher than that.

We broke a posting record again. This time, on March 23, 2011, we have 916 posts. That's almost a thousand posts in one day! Wow.

Predictably, we also broke all time monthly posting with this month. By the end of this month, it will be harder still to break the new record.

We just broke a new record because somebody decided to point a HN story to a forum post.

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5399

(518 users were online at the same time on this day)

The previous record was in January with 303 users.

SMF 2.0 is going to be released pretty soon so I'm wondering if this forum will be upgraded. Also since this forum is pretty much critical to the bitcoin community (at least that's what I think) I wonder if there is some contingency plan in place in case it comes under attack/seizure by some government institution.

The forum is already backed up.

04/21: 926 posts in one day.

Any day now we'll reach our first thousand posts record in a day.

It's getting really hard for one to keep up with the posts. I'm getting flooded with thread replies e-mails lol

I can only imagine what the moderators have to go through. Speaking of which I bet this forum is going to need more of them fast.

Are current stats and graphs visible somewhere? This is a great indicator for personal+technical interest in Bitcoin, maybe the best we have.

If someone posts up-to-date graphical forum stats somewhere, I'd probably follow them more closely than the exchange prices.

I suggested to tcatm about a project to parse the forum data but he is not yet keen on getting around to it.

Folks, we just reached a new posting record. In a 24 hours period, we reached 1120 posts about bitcoin.

Wow. Someday, it will be a blip in the day to day activity of the forum.

It's getting really hard for one to keep up with the posts.

Yeah, I can't do it anymore... I have to ignore the greatest majority of posts, unfortunately...

Couldn't there be different RSS feeds, instead of only one with all messages?
It would be nicer if the RSS also showed the entire message and the message author username, that would make it faster to go through the messages I think.
