It's getting really hard for one to keep up with the posts.

Yeah, I can't do it anymore... I have to ignore the greatest majority of posts, unfortunately...

Couldn't there be different RSS feeds, instead of only one with all messages?
It would be nicer if the RSS also showed the entire message and the message author username, that would make it faster to go through the messages I think.

Hmm well here you may be running into the limitations of SMF 1.1.13. I run several vBulletin based boards and all those things you described vBulletin can do, BUT (and this is a big one) vBulletin costs money. Also converting the forum over to vBulletin which is commercial software detracts from the open source character that no doubt bitcoin represents.

I dunno guys, maybe SMF 2.0 once it comes out will solve these limitations.

Also what may be a good idea is to create a "recycle bin" section and start moving stale threads there, and then after a certain amount of time has passed either lock the threads or delete them?

We beat last month's posting record.

It's not really a meaningful comparison if you're including the carrot posts.

We reached a new record with the number of users online. This time Hacker News pay the forum a visit. Truly staggering.

669 users online at one time on 04/28/11.

It's becoming difficult to read all of the posts. Several threads I just skim nowadays.

I think it's already impossible by this point.

I've read (or skimmed through, at least) every post ever posted to the English boards other than "mining", so it isn't impossible.

I hate it when forums do that. Why?  What's the point?

- It hurts search engine rankings since search engines will have dead links
- Some of those older posts may be helpful to more people down the road, and they aren't going to look through a "recycle bin" to try and find what they are looking for
- Read/Unread separates stale from new - why do you need anything more?
- A little necromancy never hurt anyone

How long until the million? I guess early 2012.

I'd like to see the log chart of posts.
