It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

What if ico market never boomed? civic wouldnt have raised 33 mil then. Vinny would have to give up his dream project then. He keeps on saying that he has been planning to do something on identity for years. How could vinny predict that ico market would be a boom one day?

Can an Ethereum based smart contract application like Civic (CVC) token be more valuable than Ethereum's token, Ether (ETH)?

What would be the benefit to miners when it comes to a technology like civic (i.e. what would they mine and why)? What is the engine that keeps this data distributed?

Try to read this: https://www.civic.com/solutions/kyc-services/

I have just tried the Civic android application, and so far pretty much all goods. I'd like the UX, it's really helpful for regular users.

In order to own search keywords on google, one needs to pay.. to me that is the bigger news behind the news. This is the start of cvc marketing, i feel. Very smart move btw to invest in search keywords!

Currently there is no way for the general user to get Twitter verified. Can Civic implement this for general users?

I was watching an interview with binance owner on YouTube, he was answering questions about listing fees for crypto. He confirmed and said that the team looking to list their token/coin submit an application and specify the amount they are willing to pay for listening. He also said that we have listed some crypto with zero listing fee and those are usually "great projects".

CVC is a great project. We don't need Binance or their CEO to acknowledge that, do we?Any reason for dump in terms of news? Just made a good buy.

It's beyond the Civic team unless twitter really wants to implement Civic for their verification purpose. which is I believe it will likely not to happen.

It’s a great project indeed, but it had kind off lost momentum. Although they have a great (real world) usecase, they ought to attract more attention.

It just markets consolidation period, the times where many people accumulating the altcoin. The green flag is we know the project has a real-world use case and it's really useful and helpful in the cryptocurrencies spaces, and the team is really solid. So, it makes me comfortable investing CVC.
