Yeah, I hope they do. A bit worried that all these new alt coins will end up devaluing BTC though.

I think many of these new alt. coins may hurt BTC, therefore I wouldnt care to see it unless for some reason they pushed btc forward

this is my first post ever ,
i have a feeling this coin might actually die off before btc-e adds it because of bad rep it will have after so many people lost money buying them , only to get dumped over by us miners Tongue

I was looking at signing up to BTC-E to trade my Litecoins for Bitcoins or USD. The fee's seem a little high tho, but I am a bit wary with trading on here so it's a bit of a catch 21 for me.

Regards,

Martin.

I think the exchanges that want to be reputable need to have a defacto standard inplace.

No new coins unless criterion A,B,C are met.

What those criterion is I do not know but I hope it more than a mineable coin based off the bitcoin codebase

jcrubino that would indeed be sensible thing to implement or we will end up with 50 useless altcoins on exchanges

I'm pretty sure all new altcoin are premined before release by a few developers hoping to cash out for $$$ once they hit an exchange. Someone should lanch a new LTC called BritCoin, with the queens head digitalled coded into the blockchain. I would mine it!

Price went down because of the recent DDOS attacks. Whoever is behind the attacks wants the other mining pools to be down so they can mine all the coins. At the same time they sell on the exchanges when no one else was able to mine, bringing down the price. The only reason doing this makes sense is if they planned to pump the coin after they bought up a bunch cheap and mined a bunch.
