It is 60 sec in the code.. apparently need to check in details what is the problem. Is it only the init diff or there's something else to adjust.

Btw I heard today in bitcoin-dev idea to release tons of junk coins to topple alts well maybe its one of them lol so far feathercoin at least works and bitbar is funny. Btw you can still mine small change coin on low diff at 4 coins per block

Your misconception is that day used here does not represent real life days, but block day.

Each block is supposed to have a process time of 1 min, so a block day would be 1440 blocks.

There is a sample in the download zip. You basically just need to define rpcuser, rpcpassword, and set server=1 if you do solo mining.

I think what should be done to prevent these mass mining of new coins is to set the starting difficulty to a high value of like 100 and then let the re-targeting reduce it down to a more suitable value in line with the hash-rate.

This lets the network get stabilized in the first place, and prevent people from crying out pre-mine since, early adopters have a harder time finding blocks then later ones.
