bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!!

I have been using Bittrex for years now and never had a problem.
I deposit and withdraw good amounts of Bitcoin and withdrawals take seconds.
Hope you can solve the problem...

Similar issues here. Name Mismatch on account verification and suddenly I can't access my money. Opened a support ticket but been ignored for almost 2 weeks now.

I was able to sent over $2k (which grew to $6k) but can't get it out!

I was never informed while putting the money in that I need to be verified to withdraw it. I'm not sure what they are playing at but here in UK this is illegal. It's up to them to make sure people entering legal agreement with them have access to all the info ( e.g. couple weeks back, there was a court case where guy successfully argued he didn't need to pay a parking fine, he parked illegally but he got away with it because the signs were not easily visible from where he parked). I'm a professional person, not some student using his pocket money to do a bit of trading. I'm really busy now until Christmas but if my issue is not resolved by then I'm starting a legal process.

Excellent.  Do so!  Too many Bitcoiners seem to be afraid of lawyers.  I would love to see it become a class-action.

I also don't understand what they are doing on twitter, picking a few users and solving their tickets, are they teasing people or what is going on? It's also funny that people who are verified don't give a fuck about what's going on and they continue to use the exchange...

thats the kicker, you'd think people would be getting out in droves, appears no ones learnt the Gox, Cryptsy lessons   I too was legacy had without warning my withdraw limit reduced from 1337BTC to 0 BTC

I seriously don't understand it, I mean we are not talking about a few complaints here, there are literally hundreds of thousands. If I was verified I would withdraw everything so fast and never use the exchange again.

They should disable DEPOSIT for unverified users, and then send notice to every single user prior to disable their withdrawal.

I am basically in exactly the same situation as you, UK, mismatch on account verification (had no idea it would scrape it from basic verification which didn't include my middle names), been about 2 weeks (my support ticket was opened on nov 16th) but I got over 20k USD in there. Been a loyal customer of theirs since January 2014 and I'd never had any trouble with them until this. Shocking how they don't tweet out a public statement regarding the backlog, even knowing that they are actually working on it would ease a lot of nerves and help prevent people run away from the exchange like rats on a sinking ship. Another thing that would easily stop the backlog building up like others have suggested is allowing for the basic verification to be re-done and not allowing the registration of new accounts temporarily. The fact that they are not being transparent about it combined with what feel like intentional pitfalls in the verification process and the lack of ability to pull any funds all show that something fishy is going on here. I hope I am proven wrong and that members of the team come out and inform the public whats going on. Can someone with slack access please sit in slack and just report what the team are saying (if anything)?

I had verified with bittrex and never encountered any issues so far. maybe users should be made aware that they need to get themselves verify to prevent any withdrawal issues.

Who ever feel free to change the policy without notice and let the user decide if the new policy fits them or not, and not allowing them to withdraw the funds without notice is a scammer, this is the first step, next step they will whatever they like .

Yes, sometimes it is making frustration because how can simply they leave the money without any reason they are blocking the accounts is really something they need to take care of the customers. We have to be very careful with these exchanges because they are changing rules according to their convenience.

Is that for US only? It would be a bit hard to do it from all over the world and I'm not from US myself. I will personally wait a little bit more because I sent my ticket only 1 week ago but eventually I'm going to have to do something if they keep doing this.
