I don't care if they helping banks. I still need my bankaccount. I don't see any differents in 5 years.
That's why I see a good future for Ripple.

The banks working with ripple are working with the company and not the currency so it doesn't fundamentally affect the coin. The 150 people they employ aren't all working on the coin they are doing other things within the ripple business of which XRP is only a part of it. The ripple in escrow are still going to be gradually released over time they aren't all locked up for the entire period.

The only point I can't refute is the fact that ripple is definitely a coin with easy scaling and fast transactions.

I don't think ripple will die but the volatility will continue with huge dips costing people their life savings until it is more than just a speculative coin as it is now.

Agreed. I'm happy for it not to shoot up at the moment. XRP is consolidating, building a support, whatever you want to call it. The last stable price was $0.03. The new stable price looks to be $0.28-$0.30. So let it stay here for a while. When it's ready to fly, it will. This is a long-term prospect. There is no bad news coming out, it's all good news. Ripple are building with banks, XRP is on more exchanges, building liquidity in more markets. If it shoots up to the fabled $1 price, and then drops back immediately to $0.70, then I won't be praying for it to shoot back to $1 immediately, I'll want it to build a solid line at $0.70 first.

XRP is going up. But first it needs a secure foundation.

I have to admit that I haven't watch the Ripple project so closely, but I will share my experience as an outsider on this matter. Social media and news were paying so much attention on this coin, in fact headlines like "new bitcoin" was impossible to miss. Although this might seem good, I don't think it is always good sign to see this kind of headlines and news. It attracts too many amator investors and this usually cause aggressive price changes which is never a good thing for brand-new cryptocurreny projects. Its recent rally made some traders richer but most investors lost a lot of money. This is not the best first impression no matter how good the project is.

XRP might have its chances to become dominant if the banks adopt it. If Chinese do then it is quite a good sign for ripple. However, regardless to whether it will become one of the best coins or not, I guess its price is likely to grow, because many people (especially newbie traders and investors) are likely to invest in a coin which is so cheap an #3 in marketcap already. So, no is not the time to sell in any case.

It always comes down to product and team. If they have a product that is used (they do) and a team that is working (they do) you are ahead of most altcoins. I do not own any xrp as I am heavily invested in their competitor (sort of) but I can understand why people believe in it.

You need the most minuscule amounts of XRP only, a small enough amount that it will never have much affect on the price of XRP by itself. The price is still purely speculative. If you want to disprove me on this name me one bank or other financial institution that holds more than 1M$ worth for XRP.

Many coins from 2014 dead but ripple in top 3. Still having market cap 11,24,79,45,794 even I have very small amount of ripple. So am not selling ripple
