RIP Poloniex Trollbox

can any poloniex watchers tell me what effect it might have on the pumps there? was it a driver of them? will this slow everything down?

it's a sensible choice while they're so gummed up.

In the recent weeks the trollbox was very hard spammed and it was very hard to get any info or read something because many many people where writing at the same time.

I think it was the only place where we could gather any fast info and request something from they team to do, There were many mods that tried to handle the requests but I think they have seen that it was very very hard.

Now the number of tickets will be increased and I hope these mods that were in trollbox will answer the tickets by email.

Few weeks ago I asked in the trollbox, why things on polo are so laggy when things getting hot.
Got no answer.
Asked again - and got banned for lifetime.
So I did the same, what I did on my first minutes on Polo:
Pushed the little button on the upper right and hid the neverending stream of bullshit...

Well this hasn't happened to me ever, I was in a position that I needed the moderators help and if they didn't saw my message at the first time I didn't rush to write/spam immediately but I waited a bit.

Then I asked again by tagging their name @.. and then the texts gets green so they see it better and in this way I got response from them.

Like that everyone can create trollbox with any domain but it is not the same as it was build-in poloniex.

Yeah it was a great way to get quick answers from mods, but I think a livechat would have worked better for this because trollbox was becoming spammier by the day.

since there's a time polo got a problem or issue with their service its better to have a live chat so we can have a clear answer since trollbox already been removed, we still need communication aside from sending tickets if polo can manage to create a good support staff for faster resolution.

Well, I guess the website will be a bit less heavy to load now 

It won't be bad for newcomers to remove this as this thing was used to influence people sometimes badly.

Posted a thread about this in marketplace. Hope Polo will put troll box back soon. Like others said, it's a good source for news and it also keeps people on the site

Same here. I didn't notice it the first time until I saw this thread. Oh well, I used to watch trollbox andl loved to see people mentioning coins that needs to pump and then a few minutes ago, then coin has been pump very hard. Until a few days then the dumping starts and you don't know what happened. Truly this trollbox has been used multiple times by a lot of pump and dump groups. Sorry to see its gone now.

It is good they removed it. I usually kept that box closed because i couldn't read anything. It was just too fast.
It seems site is loading a bit faster now.

Polo trollbox made me a millionaire at 22 in my home country. We will surely miss it. But i kinda prepared for its death long ago. With all the lag, it was inevitable.

Remember Cryptsy? What happened? First the withdrawals never completed. Then customer service was out of reach....

Cryptsy staff still tried to address problems in the chat. Its gone. My last two withdrawals from Poloniex never arrived. They show as "Completed: Error"

Want to talk to Poloniex staff? No problem. Just create a Freshdesk account and hope they reply.

Now, last week I had noticed something that was shady. Staff had suggested that every withdrawal is manually processed after you confirm the withdrawal from your email. Isnt that an odd way to handle the sending of BTC? I mean since day one we had (and still have faucets) that make the payments automatically. I had been skeptical of Poloniex so I signed up just to test it out. They failed. I had to troll them for 4 days to get them to approve a withdrawal. Now, that started happening with Cryptsy when they didnt have the money to actually make the withdrawals. Just like when there are runs on banks. Delay the withdrawal any way possible. Now I get errors. For 7 years Ive never had a completed transaction not appear and be listed by an independent source as having an error.

I do not feel lucky with the trollbox, when this lost to me it does not matter. For me trading is my own choice and is not dependent on the trollbox or anyone else. relax.

I`ve never had any issue with poloniex in 1 year, excepting the lag.  Your "test" operations may be rejected just because they are barely over fee amount of 0.0001 and maybe poloniex is spammed with dust transactions, in and out,  so they must have installed a filter for dust. And I always withdraw to the same addresses, maybe thats a factor too. Anyway, I avoid sending exotic alts between exchanges, just BTC, ETH, LTC when possible.


Regarding the trollbox, I think it`s a bit concerning its demise and I trully understand the "industry growth" speach, but without doubt they`re making nice money with latest volumes so, they can afford to hire/outsource personnel.

With over 50K online users at peak time, the trollbox was overwhelmed and unusable, a change was due, perhaps splitting the trollbox on different channels and hire/enroll more moderators.

I liked the trollbox, despite all the spam, shills and abusers, it was a good way to take the "pulse of the street", with skeptcisism.

For now, I`ve joined Trollbox on telegram.
