My R815's are on LTHN and will remain so except for specific speculative chances. I've got enough XTL horded away if that ever pops so I'm not too keen on mining that ATM. I can't wait for the temps to drop. Shutting down most days for 4 hours due to electrical cost spikes sucks. Come on end of September! My four R815 have been powered off for almost a month now because they are unprofitable. Even if the temps drop to 79 degrees (like they did earlier this month when the rain came) they would still be unprofitable. This mining profitability chart is for the 4x R815's mining Monero at 79 degrees: https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/xmr?HashingPower=7465&HashingUnit=H%2Fs&PowerConsumption=2784&CostPerkWh=0.071&MiningPoolFee=0.3Power usage per month of $142.32 and a loss of $14.19 on top of that. I am only running 5x Vega 56's at the moment and they are profitable (180% profit of power usage) even at this $90 Monero price. If come winter the Monero price isn't at or above $120 I probably will keep the R815's powered down. And if by next June the crypto prices are still at these distressed levels I will sell the R815's. WEBChain will still make you money on the R815s. Should make $195 / Month with your stats. Also it has been much higher at times over the last week or so... I started mining it on the 14th and slowly turned all my R815s over to it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3649170.0Can you give more details on WEBChain and your configuration for mining it? My R815's are running Ubuntu 16.04. Did you compile WEBChain source code? https://github.com/webchain-network/webchain-minerAny help in getting WEBChain running on my R815's is appreciated. Detailed instructions will help since resources on the web seem lacking. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3649170.0In this BEAR market I only hold mined coins for a short time then exchange them to BTC then sell BTC for USD. I have to pay for my electricity bill which has reached $843 two months ago and $468 this last month even though I shut down all my miners except the Vega 56's. So is there an Exchange that does WEB to BTC pair trading? WEBChain will still make you money on the R815s.
Should make $195 / Month with your stats.
Is there a WEBChain mining profitability calculator somewhere? Thanks Yes I used their webchain-miner on my UBUNTU machines: Clone with "git clone https://github.com/webchain-network/webchain-miner.git" Then build it like XMRIG: https://github.com/xmrig/xmrig/wiki/Ubuntu-BuildJust change the directory to webchain-miner ---------- Stocks.Exchange has WEB/BTC listed, yes. https://app.stocks.exchange/en/basic-trade/pair/BTC/WEB/1D---------- For profit calc I pop my hash-rate into this calc on this pool front page: http://webchain.thetapool.com/So 2100 H/S today is 954 WEB per day which is $2.06 / Day as of this moment. I actually mine on the LOUD Mining pool: https://webcn.loudmining.com/#/---------- Here is my example config.json file for the webchain-miner in UBUNTU on my R815: { "algo": "cryptonight-webchain", "api": { "port": 0, "access-token": null, "worker-id": "Worker122", "ipv6": false, "restricted": true }, "av": 0, "background": false, "colors": true, "cpu-affinity": null, "cpu-priority": null, "donate-level": 5, "huge-pages": true, "hw-aes": null, "log-file": null, "max-cpu-usage": null, "pools": [ { "url": "webcn.loudmining.com:3333", "user": " YourWebChainAddress", "pass": "Worker122", "worker-id": "Worker122", "nicehash": false, "keepalive": false, "variant": 1 } ], "print-time": 60, "retries": 5, "retry-pause": 5, "safe": false, "threads": 56, "user-agent": null, "watch": false }

With more and more GPUs coming online thanks to the Loud guys adding the algo to xmrig and xmr-stak for GPUs w/ a 3% dev fee, I feel the nethash is going to go up and profitability is going to go down. Especially when someone I know has gone from 70KH/s to 80KH/s in the last 2 days and has more rigs to throw at it once he finishes accumulating what he wants with XTL. I had gotten up to 25KH/s but my vegas aren't reporting anywhere near pool side what they are miner side so I put them back on something else I've been speculating on. Still #2 after you know who though! As an aside, I did reach out to the good Doktor from SRBminer and he is looking into adding webchain support for SRB. That means a well polished miner with only .85% dev fee instead of what the Loud guys did of just adding an algo to a miner and then slapping a 3% dev fee on that. I actually really don't like what they did. They opened pandora's box in a way by allowing GPUs to come to the party that was CPU only and they did it not for their own cards (from what I'm aware of they have old GPUs), but did it for that 3% dev fee when they really didn't do much at all. Oh and that 3% is forced. You can change it but it will always be 3% and it's binary release only, no source for those of us who can compile and edit out fees.

Not sure if you check out Webchain yet -- but it is still going strong on the R815s. In the order of ~$2.00 per day per system.

Jacob, did that main panel you have the R815's powered from trip? Looks like all your R815's dropped off Loud's pool. You should ask your electrician for a refund for giving you the ability to run like 720A through a 200A panel! <3

Sundownz, saw you mention a bittube pool. cryptoknight.cc is 0% and not a bunch of bad dudes even though everyone thinks Seb is out to get them.

Have you tried to change mined coins? Perhaps you are betting on the wrong horse... I think you can even automate the coin choice with some script in order to change it properly. EDIT: I found this. It may help you. https://www.smartmine.org/

Guys, are you still mining? Is it worth start mining now or there are more lucrative options of passive income from the crypto?

If you have to buy mining equipment, it's not exactly the most profitable period for us. It's actually a period where I believe many of us are forking over our cold hard cash to keep the miners going so we don't have to sell all the coins the miners earn to keep them going. However, Webchain has been tasty in the last 24 hours for those of us who have been mining it for a bit. Here's to 1000 sats soon ™

Mining is becoming increasingly difficult, so about a year ago I've discarded it in favour of masternodes, it's even easier than mining, although now it's becoming more and more unprofitable ...

And how to choose a masternode? What about it's ROI? Recently, I read the article about masternodes, but, honestly saying, I did not really understand it's profit.

Quick question. I have been mining Monero since Jan. I have several PCs with GPUs.
So I have a Dell 5600 with 2 RX5600s. Here are the results from it from supportXMR HR = 1.18 KH/s 1 HR avg = 1.05 KH/s 24 HR avg = 1.22 KH/s Total = 3,216,958,344
I have another similar PC with 2 GX950s: HR = 1.09 KH/s 1 HR avg = 813 H/s 24 HR avg = 831 H/s Total = 12,769,325,933
So, these have been mining for very close to the same amount of time. Why are the totals so different? Is there anything I should check?
I am using xmr-stak 2.4.2 on both.
I have a third that I put online much later (like months) and it has already passed the 5600 on total mined. It is about 1/2 the hashrate.

Is everyone here ready for the Monero hard fork tomorrow 10/18/2018? At this time I have one HP DL580 G7 w/4x E7-8837 Xeons and 8x Nvidia GTX 750's on the latest Xmr-Stak 2.5.1 running on Ubuntu Desktop 16.04. I am on the MoneroOcean pool and XMR-Stak is using "currency" : monero so that it auto switches to V8 at the time of the fork. If it turns out to be profitable after the fork when difficulty stabilizes I will bring up five more of these systems. The above system hashes at 3533 H/s on V7 and 3231 H/s on V8 for a drop of 8.5%. I have been testing the V8 development over the last month and have gotten the hash rates for the 8x GTX 750's up from 970 H/s using the default configuration to 1696 H/s by tweaking the Nvidia config file. The default config is pretty worthless. https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/issues/1851#issuecomment-429557300FYI: For those who are on older processors like the X5600 family I have seen major hash rate drop on V8. The Z400 system I have that is running dual Vega 56's will need to be decommissioned as the 2x Vega 56's drops hash rates from 1900 to 700+ H/s on each Vega 56 because of the X5660 processor. When I run Vega 56's on more modern processors (Haswell) the hash rate only drops 7.8%. This is on Windows 10 and Cast_XMR 1.5.0.
