5 years is too big range to make any prediction. You know, time in crypto is going so fast and new coin can appear with higher tps and new blockchain, so I can't say something about eth future

What would be your target price of Ethereum for 2022?

This thread was started 2 years ago, so we've now had 2 of those 5 years to 2022. The price now is lower than it was 2 years ago, which is not something I would have predicted. However ETH is still a very strong coin, and I expect it to be a big success as we move slowly towards the mainstream. I would guess somewhere between 1,000 and 10,000 for ETH in 3 years.

It is very difficult to say anything for 5 years. If you ask more realistic questions you ask 5 years would make sense. but for 1 year I think it will exceed 1000 dollars.

The market can be predicted by fundamental analysis, ethereum is a reliable altcoin but the price is volatile and is influenced by the price of bitcoin.

It will be probably around $1,000 soon. When I say soon, I mean around 2020 or somethig. Its unique technology worth this high prices... Not like other fake altcoins that are pumped synthetically.

I hesitate that it would achieved that value, giving that today's price is just around 200+ usd, but we never know what will happen next. For me, i forecast that it would hit 700usd each by that year, giving that ethereum nowadays and at that time, will be massively used.

You are talking about the Ethereum price in the next 5 years. It is not a big question. Because, after evolving of the Ethereum the price of the Ethereum went above $1500 within the 2 years in the bull market 2017. Now the market is in bearish mood and for the altcoin it is severe bear. So, hold the Ethereum as it is a giant among all other altcoins. within 5 years it must be $5000.

They is because lots of things can happen in between with respect to cryptocurrencies evolution.
For short term around 2020 end I believe eth can hit $1500 if market supported by Bitcoin.

This thread was started in mid-2017. I guess few of us thought then - me included, that ETH would be around $200 now, halfway through those 5 years. What I think this suggests is that a lot of us are quite impatient. Because crypto can increase in price quickly and dramatically, we demand that these increases are permanent and there are no corresponding rapid decreases. In fact these are just speculative bumps on the road, very bumpy at times, but still bumps.

If we look at the all-time charts on CMC, and particularly using the logarithmic scale, then we can see that the overall trend is definitely upwards, just a bit slower than it sometimes seems from the closer, day-to-day perspective.

So at the end of the original 5 years, I would think maybe $1k for ETH, $2k at the most.

I also think that Ethereum will occupy a very high position in the cryptocurrency market. I am now investing in Ethereum and expect the price to rise above $ 1,000 in a few years.
