Hi,
I am about to place an order for some GPU's but wanted to know which one of these is better?
Asus DUAL-RX580-O8G 244.62$ USD
MSI RX 580 GAMING X 8G 267.70$ USD
I read that the msi run cooler but i never had a msi so i cant vouch for them but i had some asus and those are okay.
If this matters, I would prefer a card that runs colder and can be tuned for the lowest power consumption.

See reviews for 580x GPU's herei just received 20 x rx580 MSI brand and they are hashing at 30.5mhs with the fans only getting up to 10 to 20% still need a bit more tweaking as i wanna turn the voltage down more |

Thank you and also great config running them at 30.5mhs with those fan speed. But I am curious about the temps you are getting off of them.

Well i don't have them yet "there's a 22 day lead time" but if i can actually get some i will gladly tell you and also ask that you mention me so i can get some sweeter deals later on  |

Well i don't have them yet "there's a 22 day lead time" but if i can actually get some i will gladly tell you and also ask that you mention me so i can get some sweeter deals later on As for me I managed to get 570 4G gigabyte gaming editions and they are great, got 29Mh/s on eth but only on solo with claymore, it's so sad I have only two of them, but still great deal |

Dual are the bad! The cooling is awful. Card quality is like lottery. I have 1 it's running great lowest voltages on same clocks, but the second wasn't even able run at stock settings... 69° and it was crashing... I've just bought MSI RX 480 Gaming X 4G so will let you know how it is, I will have it next week. |

On the non-plus - stock they ran about 22mhs. I modded and got 25mhs.
For some reason ANY modification to the memory clock COMPLETELY DESTROYS mhs. At 2000 I get 25 mhs, bump to 2050 and it falls to 18mhs. Slowly ramping up I might get up to 20 mhs until 2100+ will crash the card.
I have no idea wtf is wrong. I tried both MSI afterburner and wattman. I tried oc the memory with no other adjustments and as soon as I touch the memory clock, mhs falls like a rock. This happened with stock and modded bios.
If anyone has any ideas, please give me one. Oh - and I have hynix memory
I haven't tried modding the plus version yet. It runs 24.5mhs stock, but temps are insane. Like 85c already.

You pushed too much. Hynix can't handle this much overclock. Also did you reinstall drivers after flash? |

You pushed too much. Hynix can't handle this much overclock. Also did you reinstall drivers after flash? Which aspect did I push too much? I see many people running 2100+ memory clock and this card is 2000 out of the box. I did not reinstall drivers. I will do that tonight when I get home if that's a missing step |

Some people also have fallen from 10m and do not hurt yourself, but I think I still wont do that. I had Asus Dual, it wasn't even able run stock clocks... There is no reason clocking memory to speed of light... tighter timing makes biggest difference. |

Open air gets to about 70C with fans at 50 to 60% With a closed case the airflow works better n temps are about 40 to 50C Case fans do the work |
