i wouldn't call it a "long" term investment but as i said for the reason above it is a profitable investment.
and it is not just about faster transaction, that comes from the fact that it has faster block generation (it is about 15 seconds). it is about scaling issue. and the fact that transaction fees are currently getting closer to $1 and it doesn't even have remotely as many transactions as bitcoin has!

I am not updated with litecoin lately but thanks to the update. This is one of the stable altcoin now, I do also trading this coin and keep monitoring its prices. Devs is active on twitter too,i like it

Yes, I already predict this will happen. Litecoin is one of the best altcoins now like ethereum. Litecoin has a rapid development of late and litecoin is able to show it.

Litecoin is a great coin, but Litecoin bears little resemblance to Ethereum litecoin is like bitcoin, this is why I think is one of the best coins out there that way if the miners keep trying to destroy bitcoin we have a backup plan in the form of litecoin.
