I know this may seem like something that is easy to find with google but I am having a difficult time finding a good forum or website where trading strategy is the primary goal and I can improve my skills. I used to play online poker and stopped after Black Friday.

My question is are there any websites that are like the 2+2 forums, card runners or deucescracked etc.? Where have you gone to learn about daytrading cryptocurrencies?

I got into this a little over a month and half ago and while I am up because of just a lucky decision or two I am quickly going to lose my ass if I don't figure out some sort of effective strategy.

In short, I suck at this and really need some help.

Thanks

Edit: Before someone replies I just want to throw this out there, I'm pretty sure this is a good website to learn about coins and what not and I come here everyday but I have a very hard time sorting through the bullshit. Obviously this place might be a great place but I might be in the wrong sections.

Investopedia is a great resource. I used them a lot when I was learning to trade and still use them a lot today.

I would recommend reading about fundamental and technical methods of determining an asset's value and analyzing its price movement. I would also read a lot about value investing. It is important to learn how to take advantage of disparities between price and value.

I also highly recommend practicing paper trading before you risk real money on trades. You can do that here:
www.demoinvestor.com

I did that for a few months before I started trading with real money and it helped a lot. Paper trading can be a valuable tool.

Anyway, my number one piece of advice would be to be patient and take your time with everything. Be cautious, and don't let emotion drive your decisions.

Thank you for the reply. I will check out that website and try to focus more on paper trading until I can figure out a winning game plan and stick to it.

I know your last advice about not letting emotions get in the way is sound advice. It sounds easy on paper but admitting you are wrong on a trade and taking a loss is one thing I struggle with now. Hanging onto losers has eaten more of my profits than anything.

I recommend using youtube as im personally much more of an interactive learner. Try and focus on forex trading strategies such as MACD usage, get familiar with the different indicators and how to use them to your advantage.

Secondly, follow the news. News is the best thing to interperate a forthcoming trend a good example of this was the general UK election where the pound dropped against USD almost 2% to put this scenario simply two major parties Labour and Conservative, if conservative won majority the pound would spike, labour wins the pound drops, hung parliament pound drops. It was a hung parliament the pound has gone to shit, to get to the point understand economic trends and these can be replicated in both forex, commodity and crypto trading.

Thank you for your advice as well. I'm surprised I didn't think of watching things on youtube. I am an interactive learner as well so I'm glad you mentioned that.

You are right, and emotion can also cloud judgement in other ways too... for example, emotion could cause you to do the exact opposite in a situation where you really should not be taking a loss. Personally I run into that situation more often. Sometimes you will buy something because you determine that it is undervalued and you are pretty confident that its true value is higher than its current price. The price may still go down in the short term for whatever reason, and this can make you feel like you need to sell in order to prevent further loss when in reality, if you look at the situation objectively, you might be better off holding in hopes that it will go back up... or even doubling down on your original trade. I've been in situations where this happened and I doubled down as my loss started to increase, and ended up coming away in the end with a large profit as the price went back up to where it should be based on the asset's value.

I suggest you first look onto youtube for some videos regarding altcoin trading. You'll find some good quality content there. If that's not enough then there are indeed tutorials out there. I remember reading one from deepdotweb and it was pretty good(https://www.deepdotweb.com/2017/04/30/tutorial-altcoin-flipping-cryptocurrency-trading-strategies-always-win/)

Check out cryptorials as well, go here: http://cryptorials.io/tag/trading/

A guy called lumbridgecity is offering trading courses for a subscription fee. Personally I don't think it's worth it.

All of the advice given in this thread has been very helpful. There is obviously a lot to learn. I feel like I've been studying the markets non stop for the last month and a half and still feel very lost. I've only learned a couple easy spots to make profits. Everyone's advice has been greatly appreciated.

If you're a beginner trader, you have to learn the Basics of trading.
First thing you should learn is to read charts. Chart patterns http://www.investopedia.com signal to traders that the price of a security is likely to move in one direction or another when the pattern is complete.
I also took the time to show you how these relate to Bitcoin trading with the charting tools I use on Trading view www.tradingview.com.

Hmm, a very inspiring thing buddy. But for me personally would be more beneficial if I used or learned through direct trading practices, because in practice it will give you a lot of experience directly. So if we just play or learn in a website where other people's experiences, later if you have already started to focus will be slightly confused as to tread.Someone who will get rich are those who want to fight and continue to rise if facing defeat, because only then can we have a lot of experience and can take the best

You could try some youtube videos or just read some websites or blogs related to crypto trading like alunacrypto.com,etc.By this way,you would get a basic idea of crypto trading. Then you have to read charts like one week chart, one day chart, one hour chart to follow the price movements. Then initially you could start investing a very small amount of btc and trade.By implementing techniques which you have learnt from websites, you could gain more experience and confidence.

Youtube is too common and you can not know whether a video is trusted or not. Moreover, those people are only seeking for youtube view for more money. I suggest you should spend some money in order to attend to private class about trading. In my country, I know a lot of professional traders who open their own classes to teach people
- Youtube only teaches us what is the most basic and most popular, and it really suitable for people who want to start trading. If we want to learn more and want to know more, we can search on google or as you say find professional traders, they will guide us strategies and plans to trading, of course we have to pay for them, nothing is free. Finally the practice, the best is we start with a small amount of capital and try to analyze the charts, that will give us more experience, failure the first time is inevitable but we should be patient, do not give up

This is a very simple question, nowadays you can easily educate yourself with the help of the internet, you can read articles and watch videos.
Actually it's easy my friend if you have the courage to learn and make trading as your passion, surely it will be a long journey but if you love it you will always find a way to improve yourself and with different resources it will give you a wide knowledge on trading.

It is impossible to learn how to trade because ever trader has different strategies and tricks of doing and most of them will surely not share everything. I remember when i started i was following a trader and got pure loss. Learning trade is just like learning business, the more you trade the more you learn that's the only rule

All sorts of earning with bitcoin need to be learned on their personal interest. One need to learn on their own willing, then only he can earn, and trading is not that easy to be a profit making source for the one who cannot spend good time in making predictions of the cryptocurrency market.

OP, be informed that trading is not online poker in regards to giving out information. In trading there are a lot more scammers out there because the unprofitable "experts" are not really profitable traders so they sell their "expertise" to unaware newbies. In online poker I believe the honesty of teaching the secrets of the game became their undoing.
