I bought Joshster a $100 amazon gift card. Joshster redeemed it and never sent BTC. He lies saying he did, but provides no proof, because he's a scammer.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I got scammed a long time ago bought and sent someone a ukash code and never got bitcoin. I will never ever do any trade now with out escrow. Look for a trusted escrow service they hold your money until you receive your item.

I'm the OP of the other scam accustion thread, to this day, Joshster hasn't sent coins, or replied to PM's. I can provide proof of purchase quite easily as it was done through pokerstars transfer.

use escrow if buying/selling to avoid scams in the pm system.. if you are sending first, then you are setting up escrow not them, their escrow could be fake!!!
use the search feature to find good escrow options.

Post proof you sent the coins to the address OP specified. If your innocent you'll have no problems providing the proof. |

What I learned is don't give them the goods until they pay. When you sell on ebay and other sites you wait for the buyer to pay first before sending them the goods. It makes no sense for the seller to give away there goods for free before the buyer has even paid.

On an exchange of currency, both are buyer and seller. None can considerer himself the sole seller. The rule has to be, trust only member with solid reputation. In case of any doubt, ask the address of the other party and check on blockchain.info or www.cryptocoinexplorer.com if the other party has the amounts he is claiming and send small tranches, waiting each time for his payment. Or use an escrow system, like the one used by bitmit.net |

This guy goes out of his way to post and warn users daily, and it gets mostly ignored. I say kudos, TomatoCage, you do great work. It's a shame some people are too lazy/irresponsible/etc to spend just a few minutes reading over the info in your signature. |
