If Ethereum is a scam, that means thousands of altcoin under Ethereum network are also scam which is very impossible. Ethereum has grown beyond anybody thinking the project is a scam.

This is to be a comedy thread considering the fact that it was opened in. 2017 and still stands til today, anyways kudos to the Bitcointalk team and moderators, they obviously support freedom of speech even if it is completely baseless accusations like this one, take a look t why Ethereum has contributed to Blockchain in General and tell me that you are not amazed.
Definitely it is, to think that ethereum posted a way too successful milestones versus many crypto currency in the coinmarketcap. I believe nobody has the right to label it as a ponzi scheme. How many functioning DAPPS as of now are running because of ETH?, It might contain sa difficulties or breaches but to think it is not on it's full power yet it takes off a very good heights when it comes to milestone. Come on guys don't be so salty ETH might not be the best but it is one of the best. |

i have seen this news for a long time and this post was also made several years ago. if ethereum is really a scam then ethereum won't grow until now. indeed at this time ethereum prices are not so good, so is bitcoin.. ethereum only follows the development of bitcoin, so ethereum is not a scam. |

Why is this thread not locked yet? Ethereum is not a scam. If it is, the thousands and thousands of ETH developers working directly on ETH or some side service involving the blockchain have been collectively fooled.

People are not foolish to invest in scam coins, and therefore Ethereum is not a SCAM coin. It has the 2nd largest trading volume next to BTC, that explains well for anyone's doubt that it's scam. A lot of foolish (and not too foolish) people have invested in scam coins in the past, or are currently making such investments right now. In the future also, we can expect some investors to be tricked in to investing in scam coins. But that has nothing to do with ETH. The OP knows nothing about the Ether ICO, in which close to 70 million coins were sold at a price of 0.0005 BTC per coin. Vitalik doesn't own these coins. At the most, he has a few hundred thousand ETH in his wallets. |

It's proven that ethereum is not a scam, we are now on 2019 still ethereum is survive and still remain the no. 2 spot in coinmarketcap. If you still think that ethereum is a scam then don't buy it, don't invest.

Personally, I do not think this statement is correct. After all, today Ethereum continues its stable development, despite a temporary drop in its prices. Ironically, this topic will soon be 2 years old, but it is still active and discussed.  Does anyone else think that Ethereum is a scam? I guess by the same logic and bitcoin is also a scam. On such a chain you can get to the dollar. It's funny to hear the arguments of such people. |
