Note how the scammers like to sell 6990s, a.k.a. "the most megahash you can get from one PCI-E slot" -- pretty much attracts the greedy people most inclined to fall for a scam (emotional, less prudent, etc.)

Anyone ready to invest in a 6990 right now would be exactly the unthinking sort that would fall for a scam like this.

I can't say I feel sorry for the 10 suckers who fell for this scam.

when i saw that they were being sold for far less than newegg was selling them when converted over to USD, i knew it was a scam. That and he flaunted his crappy iframe joomla site like "this is why you should trust me" whoever is planning on suing him now is able to who is the domain name and trace the address / name and phone number back to him.

This domain name registration switched to privacy mode just recently... even so, if he is the owner of "CNY Media" he still seems to have a lot to lose, unwise.
