use https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc to compare 1050 1060 and 1070. they show you power and hashrate. for me the 1060 3gb was the best choise.

i believe that the 1080ti is the better deal here, the 1060 is very poor in performance, and it's also overpriced like the other, but the 1080ti is less overpriced compared to the other, because the price was already high, before the gpu shortage, i would just buy two 1080ti for now, versus 6 x 1060

if you aim to buy to mine eth 1050 or 1060 are the better as hashrates scales good with the price spent and power consumption
eg :1 1050 ti hashes 14 - 16 mh/s power 30-50w
1 1060 3gb costs 50% more but hashes also 50% more and consumes also 50% more ( 19 mhs 60w 22 mhs 70 w 85w 23- 24 mhs)
1070 will has at aroun 28 but will cost 2x 1060 and will consume also 30 - 50% more
so for eth better smaller cards from nvidia
for other algos then all scales pretty the same so you can chose if you want density for a premium or if you want lot of rig to administer and pay a lil less
right now im not considering the 1050ti because some say it can only do 100 sols on zec miners. Zec will be my alternative once eth goes POS I have 2 1050ti's running ZEC right now each getting 158-161 Sol/s They are in my rig named Leoben (for some reason the cards are not indexed properly in the display but you will see what I mean) https://minerstat.com/public/Bones.htmlLove those little cards. No power connection needed only fed power through the motherboard. I will probably pick a few more up and toss them into open spots I have on some of my rigs with extra power available.

I burned my 12V pins on motherboard atx-connector with two 750ti (without pcie power connectors) when testing them back in 2014, it was an overkill rig which went alive through btc and scrypt mining and then failed on 2x35 watts cards...

No way. 1080ti compared to 1060 3GB is just 80% more Hashpower but 250% "more Price" and 150% more power consumption.

i used 2 recources for the comparsion: whattomine.com 1060 - Ethhash: 21.3 Mh/s 1070 - Ethhash: 30.0 Mh/s 1080Ti - Ethhash: 35.0 Mh/s https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc 1060 - DaggerHashimoto: 20.13 MH/s 1070 - DaggerHashimoto: 28.69 MH/s 1080Ti - DaggerHashimoto: 35.00 MH/s are both pages wong with the Ti? for my 30 1060 the result is nearly as stated there.

Hmmm... I have them on Asrock 970 performance Mobo with an additional connection to power the PCI's. They have been running around 60 watts each for several months with no issue. I also have 2x 1060's on risers (connected to the PSU) with no issues from the mother board. Its actually one of my most stable platforms because I don't really tweak the settings. I am not sure what the 750ti's were pulling through the Mobo but I guess I will have to keep an eye on it.

295x2 (500w card) 10 watts through mobo, 750ti (35w card) 35 watts through mobo (no pcie power connector model). So you never know.

you are right. but there is actually no profitable blake coin to mine. if profit of blake-coin is half to equihash or ethash i have no benefit from the better handling of the faster card.

Depends on how long you want to mine with the cards. If you are playing the long game until the cards die (all with powered risers), then 1050 ti. If you are looking at 3 years worth of mining then trying to sell 1070s. If you are looking at getting your ROI back then selling them to upgrade cards then 1060 (I am bias to 6gb because of better perceived resale value.)
I have 8 750 ti cards running on two rigs been running since April 2014 only one bad card with warranty exchange during that time. The 1-EVGA 1070 SC and 1-1070 SC2 have had warranty replacements already.

I would go for the 1070 rig. When ETH disables POW mining, the 1060's card architecture will not allow you to mine certain algorithms which the 1070 can do.
Its future proof and you will spend less on electricity and other computer parts.

Which algorithms does that apply to? I know 3GB 1060s won't be able to mine any DAG which tops 3GB but afaik there's nothing about the 1060's card architecture which will stops it mining anything a 1070 can...

This is a pretty good miner. But now you should use specialized miners. These machines are being sold a lot in China.

If you have more rigs, that means you're paying for more motherboards, CPUs, RAMs, racks and power supplies. It might be more cost-effective to get more expensive cards. Nope. Quite the opposite actually if you know what you're doing. You use a used PC that comes with a cpu, ram, mobo, power supply. Then one medium size power supply for your GPUs.

I also need advice. I already have 2x 3 1080 ti. I can get 1080 ti for 700euro, and 1060 6gb for 275€. I plan to mine eth until difficult dont jump, then maybe ubiq or something. 1080 ti for zcash or something. What is better 1070 8gb 420€ or 1060 6gb 275€. I think 6 1060 6gb with 750w psu is rly good deal.

Well, actually you can use a PicoPSU to power the motherboard and CPU.

The thing is your hashrate will change with higher models and they will become more. But they will also cost you more money for that. I think it will balance thr final cost anyway.
So better go for 1070 model as you will face more difficulty in the near future meaning you have to be one step ahead of everyone. Better go for 1070 in anyway the equation will balance due to cost of hardware and consumption of energy.
There is one more thing your electricity costs are way high than US. Its twice than the US country and i hope you have calculated the ROI properly. I guess you should definitely go for 1070 model only.
