Ltc is surely winning this if you want to double your money quickly but only issue with ltc is stability. The price of bitcoin is really strong and selling so many wouldn't affect the price but ltc is still a small alt , we can surely make better profits with it than bitcoin only in short term for long term bitcoin is the leader for now

Just in today, btc fall to $2,500 from yesterday's rate and ltc now is $43 just rose up like yesterday's rate.
The sudden dump of btc today is not so alarming as it maintain its range to $2,000.

What really bothers me is how each coin has a connection. If BTC goes down nearly all the altcoins follow. I just do not understand why. If supply and demand is different for each coin. The explanation is simple

Altcoins go down because people who are investing in Bitcoin are also investing in altcoins. These are mostly the same folks, and when they get panicky, it is not just about Bitcoin they are dumping, they are dumping everything. But this is not to say that it is going to last forever. I think LTC works like a small brother for bitcoin. And its the first to adopt Segregated Witness(SW), which for most of us is like a test bed before actually applying it to bitcoin. I think there's the comparison surfaces. And if I'm not mistaken they also the first do the Lightning Network (LN), which might be adopted by bitcoin soon.

Agreed, i think if seen from the value the different are so far than any coin. Also Bitcoin is more popular that's why there is no coins can beat it even Litecoin though.

Good speculations. Liked it when you compared the percentage of both coins from historical data. They seem to be perfectly matched and rise-fall pattern is almost same for them. According to you litecoin would be good because it's cheap to buy at this point and if we get 400-500% hike in rates then we can just grab more than enough profits from this investment. Seem to be practical approach to me. Hope to see some good bucks with it. But bitcoin has to be there no doubt. Yes 6K got reached no time after your post and now 10k is about to come.

I think both of them have their own advantages. LITECOIN is almost 4 times faster than Bitcoin as it has a block time of 2.5 minutes. It can handle transactions with a lightning speed and unlike Bitcoin, the network can handle way more transactions at once.
Bitcoin on the other hand, have the advantage of being the mother of all cryptocurrencies. It is without any doubt the most popular cryptocurrency available in the market.
If you want to invest, you can invest in both of them as this diversification can help you earn tremendous profits in the long run.

Crypto in its entirety is booming, and there definitely isn't coming an end to this any time soon. How come really? I remember you were not very fond (mildly speaking) of this coin in the not so distant past. Did you invest your capital (some part thereof) in it and felt the advantage of really fast and really cheap transactions? LTC can become a very popular crypto currency. It has excellent technical characteristics and popularity. I am much more comfortable using LTC than Bitcoin

For me i think both will be very profitable investment in the future but i think both are something realated to each other. whatever affects Bitcoin most likely goes to affect Litecoin too. However only recently Litecoin had some added advantage and was able to gain more grounds but for me the margin of profit in litecoin is much bigger than that of bitcoin and i prefer litecoin over bitcoin for shorter term.

Your post is very convincing but for long term use I believe bitcoin is the only option that we will have to work with. Litecoin as we know is good alt but having trouble going up quickly. Within that much period bitcoin moves like legend with 400-600 USD prices. That's a huge move to get huge profits. So that's the point with bitcoin and litecoin. These are two good things about bitcoin which makes it better candidate for future prospects.
