NOTICE to hashbag.cc users:

During the weekend of 2nd-4th March, hashbag.cc forked to the incorrect DNR chain. After restoring the correct chain, many miners were overpaid significantly based on work they'd done during the fork.

Unfortunately, this caused consistent errors in payments as the balances being paid were not available in the wallet, which flowed on to all payments since. After reconciling accounts, users were in significant negative balances (i.e. overpaid) which would have required several hours/days of mining to restore to zero and start earning payments again.

As a result, all user history has been purged. All accounts should have been paid at fairly for what they mined whilst on the correct chain. Please forgive the disruption. We will be continuing our 0% fee mining whilst we ensure the payments are correctly processing over the next couple of weeks.

If you require any support, please join our Discord at https://discord.gg/AvQ7Ryc.

sounds like the pool found a way to steal coins....best not to use hashbag.cc

how do I set up the options for zpool? anyone know?

I will stand up for hashbag.cc anyday of the week, everything enkayz is saying is 100% true and valid, he has been here since the beginning supporting DNR with commits to our github and with yiimp as well. He does always try to do things the right way, without reconciling balances to zero, tons of miners would be in a negative, meaning you would not get payments as fast and would basically be paying off coins for no reason. enkayz is more than likely doing this at his own loss even, when a pool goes off chain and people keep mining it, nothing you can really do for that lost time there.

well isnt a split chain the result of a 51% attack?

No.

when I run masternode list-conf in the wallet I get no output even though my masternode.conf file has the correct data and is in the correct folder, how do I trouble shoot this?

Wallet is synced and I have restarted it a few times, it's unlocked...

You want to run the command "masternode outputs" to get your masternode outputs, the list-conf command just displays what is in your .conf file, so it may be empty then. You run masternode outputs after you send the TX including the 5,000 DNR. The masternode needs a valid vin (TX) to operate.

I have already done masternode outputs and created the masternode.conf file.

My problem is even through the conf file has the data in it, when i run list-conf its empty in the console...

It just returns

enkayz steal coins? Let alone ANYTHING at all?

Fat chance!

I am with carsen on this as I have had dealings with enkayz time and time again, and NEVER ONCE has he set foot in the realm of theft or misguidance in anyway I have seen to date.

Forks happen, it is part of this crazy system of Crypto. We know first hand as we have CWI-Pool system also, and we will back enkayz and his pools to the hilt.

Why? Because he is one of the rarities you will find in Crypto who is not only a damned good pool dev, but also HONEST, which is more than I can say for over 97% of those out there, in my YEARS of Crypto experience.

No - you are completely wrong about enkayz, and I will return to this post time and time again if anyone says otherwise.

I will continue to mine DNR at hashbag.  I support enkayz.  Stuff happens in mining... you learn to deal with it.

+1 to hashbag.cc, these things happen from time to time. I blame myself for mining on forks when I do. Never had an issue using them.

Last time it happened, enkayz compensated everyone as well. So I can vouch that he is a very nice pool owner. Smiley

I also blame myself when I mine on a fork.  The basic mindset is if you go from making 10 coins a day average to all of a sudden making 100 coins - you are probably on a fork.  I still mine at hashbag.  I also don't believe enkayz should have to pay anything for the coins mined on the fork.  That just shows he is a stand-up person with integrity.  I for one would never expect him to pay me for coins that were fake.  It is a learning lesson and will teach you to watch your rigs regularly.  We are all adults here and shouldn't need someone to hold our hands.  This is the wild west and as such a huge gamble.

Thanks again for your kind words everyone, it means a lot.

I am happy to report hashbag.cc has been operating AOK for several days now. I have compensated some people for some lost payments which I think were real coins mined & erroneously sent on the forked chain, all in all I hope we're back to square one. Payments certainly are flowing out on a regular schedule again with no issues, so that's great.

Still running 0% fee for some time. But at some time I will have to put the fee back on so I can at least pay for the server(s). Smiley

For those that don't already know (since I haven't really posted about it in this thread in a while), we offer a USA based stratum as well as EU based. If you're in the USA, it will be better for you to use the USA stratum as you will get more work time per block (300ms latency to EU means you lose 300ms mining time on either side of a block change, a total of 600ms lost time in a 30000ms window which is a whole 2% extra time you could be hashing every block) and if a block is found, it is submitted directly from the USA location into the network, so less chances of an orphan occuring.

The USA stratum is available at us.hashbag.cc:8688 e.g.

-o stratum+tcp://us.hashbag.cc:8688 -u <dnraddress> -p rig1

As always, EU stratum is still available:

-o stratum+tcp://de.hashbag.cc:8688 -u <dnraddress> -p rig1

hashbag.cc - where do you put your hash? region based stratums available now: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2044808.new

Thanks for adding Denarius to the list. I tested it by putting some dummy value for NVidia graphics card and CPU, but I got 0 output. How accurate are the stats for DNR? And how often does these stats change?

Very good news zidan.
This will make things easier for people having no knowledge in linux or don't want to make any experience.
But mostly linux vps is cheaper, so i took one and did it using ubuntu.
