I'm favor of same sex marriage because in my beliefs everyone has the right to love whoever they want, they can choose who their want to love because we have freedom and that's what freedom is. But the one that i'm concerned is that the high chance of the AIDS or HIV will grow into numbers we all know that there is no cure for this kind of disease and i think other people will may be affected. That depends on where you live.

In France cohabiting people can formalise their cohabiting to an extent without the heaviness of marriage. And in the UK there were civil partnerships before gay marriage was available. Now heteros are trying to sue the government so they can get a civil partnership.

India is way too conservative about a lot of topics, same sex marriage tops the list and it is illegal.

I personally do not have any issues with that, broadly nothing against people of any sexual orientation. I was reading a book by David Baldacci and the antagonist is an androgyne. This summarises the plight and anger of people who are unfortunate enough to be born different than the majority.

How could you respect or appreciate or care about a world and the people in that world when they loathed the fact that you shared their planet?

Personal reasons for hating same sex marriage is understandable but bringing religion into it seems somewhat over the top, unless that person follows each and everything written in their religious book.

It is not about love. Although I don't condone it, I have no issues if some gay couple practice homosexuality inside their house. It is their private matter. But granting benefits which are normally granted to the heterosexual couples is not going to work. These people will exploit the system and loot the state exchequer.

Erm, how? The only thing that marriage allows is for the poorer one to loot the richer one when they get divorced. There might be the odd tax and inheritance advantage but it pales in comparison and it's fully deserved anyway.

Same sex marriage though not illegal in my country is not accepted at all, there are incidents of people being beaten for practicing that abhorred practice and by the looks of it it shouldn't be practiced at all,

In my country no one discriminates gays, but because of our culture, I doubt that so early will they legally accept same-sex marriage

Up to this day has not yet been debated this theme, perhaps it is because the number of gay is small or insignificant

Not surprising since you are from Africa. Homosexuality is not a part of the African culture. It was introduced very recently by the Europeans. Anyway, IMO, the Africans must stick with their traditions, rather than allowing alien cultural practices such as same sex marriage.

In a free country no one call you who you can marry that's freedom. When you are regulated that's not freedom. Who you live with and marry is your thing no one should be able to force you with tyrannical rules. It's your life.

How can you justify extremist opinions (ex. shunning of homosexuals) by merely saying that "God" wills it. You don't think that's a little sheepish. blindly following the ideology of some self-righteous HUMAN who decided to write a code of ethics that he believes is true at the time. Even though that time was vastly different and has since been proven to be archaic/barbaric. Try following a real book instead of a fictional one, you guys sound like Scientologists honestly.
