Is it difficult to understand that not everyone subscribes to the bible?  Those that don't subscribe don't need to create a new religion to make people that think like you happy.  The same way you don't need to be Christian to get married, you don't have to subscribe to any part of the bible.  That's your choice to subscribe and it's anyone else's choice to not subscribe.

You probably couldn't care less about the rules in the Quran because you don't subscribe to it, and there is no explanation required, nor do you need their approval to proceed with social contracts like marriage.  That's how any non-Christian looks at the bible.

Not sure about protesting the church.  The main protest is for the government to recognize and legalize same sex marriage.  The church can have whatever rules they want as an organization, and people can choose to subscribe to those rules or not.

Punish the person who did the deed, well, i don't what will be their internal rules about that, but for me it's really wrong.

To me there's nothing wrong with being gay and having a relationship between two people that are consenting.  But there's something very wrong about pedophilia.  Internal rules probably protect them from going to jail...and I mean why would any organization protect a pedophile?

As for bible based churches, the time that we are in and the culture that we have, is a lot different than when these books were written.  There are references to slavery that require updating, and eventually, it will likely require an update for other types of non-typical relationships.  But hey, if they don't want to then they don't have to, and that's fine too.

Yes of course, a woman is for man and man for a woman.  Well, it is sad that there were many gay and lesbian couples right now.  They spread like virus they become more and more.  But I do not judge them, I do not know how they feel.  Maybe it is okay if they are a couple but for the church to allow them to have a ceremony is unimaginable.  But I have read a story about a priest somewhere in Southeast Asia where he allowed same sex marriage.  It is really disgusting.  But who are we?  As long as they will not do any harm to us, it would be okay.

Heterosexual relationships have never been repressed and judged in this way, so it wouldn't make sense to have a parade or celebration for that.    No one in the parade is having sex, it's just a celebration where streets are closed off, there's some partying and some parades with people.

I am am African American and here same sex marriage is legal; Homosexuals are even able to now legally adopt in all 50 states. There is science behind the human body as well as in animals that have to do with the discussion of homosexuality. We do not choose to be straight, we know this from birth.

Same-sex is viewed as "other" in the perspective of religions and hetero is viewed as the norm in modern society because our systems have developed this way. We only know what we have been taught and what we teach ourselves. But even in teaching yourself, you must be taught.. Until you open your mind to literally everything, you have no right to not accept same-sex marriage. I am completely straight btw.

Well actually, i am from Philippines too. For me same sex marriage is not okay because i am a christian and that's our perceptions and Filipino knows that this is not legal at all but then i still respect the fact that they are together since loving is not a sin anyways. They just fell in love too each other and so let them be happy for it. You only live once so enjoy your life the fullest

I completely agree. It's like some kind of epidemic of homosexuality and can soon already invent a vaccine against homosexuality. I am against these carriers of infections and distorted ways of life freely walking around next to me and my children.
