Am an African though in our Part people don't believe it, but what I know in every marriage the two people involved are together for a reason best known to the which I perceive as "LOVE" whether legal or not legal, in marriage the parties had agreed to be make themselves happy. Also I the same vein same sex marriage for happiness. They are for each other for happiness and love.

Every people have difference opinion in this case. In the bible, Only man and woman are mention in the bible, there is no LGBT so if im favor in same sex marriage i think i against god speech but many people favored in same sex marriage because all people have freedom to love so thats a good point.

I am living in a very conservative  Christian country but I am very much in favor of same sex marriage. Why? Because I believe that love knows no gender. And with that, anyone can get married regardless of their gender preference.  As long as the two of you truly love each other and promise to stay faithful to one another.

Gay marriage may be a huge mistake for you, but that's only your opinion, and probably aligns with the religion you subscribe to.  But you nor the religion have authority on anyone else.  So in the same way that people that are either atheist or part of a different religion may think you're a fool, they allow you to have whatever belief you choose.  Why not show the same tolerance for people that you think are wrong or foolish?

You are still able to be straight, have a straight relationship, associate with only straight people I'm sure...so what is the harm to you if gay people get married?

Absolutely true, you can express your love even on objects or animals. Love doesnt pick or have any rules to love. You just felt it that you are attached to it and happy for what is happening when you are around with the one who you love.

I am personally strongly against it. A marriage is meant to be between a man and a woman - and always has been, and a civil union is essentially the exact same thing, only without the label of marriage, which in my opinion is a sacred thing and should not be compromised. There is a difference between progression and error, something most Liberals just don't understand these days, unfortunately.

Some countries or state have been accepting this kind of marriage. Here in the Philippines, we do not recognize it as legal or something like that. How about in your country?

Not yet from where I come from. But it's just a matter of time, I believe. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it and am in favor of it. It is actually a good development for the rights of the LGBT people and hopefully it will be the norm in the future, if it isn't already.

I never really understood why this was an issue in the first place. If two people love each other, why should there be a third party allowing or preventing them from being together. It should be a free choice. Who has the right to define what love is?

No, im not favor in same sex marriage, i don't have any problem in LGBT society, but  the Bible says that marriage is for two people who inlove in opposite sex.  Not in same sex, so for me if you're in love with the same sex person, you are free, you can show your love for them .but no need to go to get married .

Marriage is fine, as long as they don't receive any benefits which are meant for the heterosexual couples. Else, the homosexual couples will abuse the system and drain the coffers dry. And adoption is a strict no-no.
