Well everything has an ending specially when a better one comes out. But still there ain't a better one. They were just creating news about something better like otger coins but could not really provide the facts or I mean could they tell what would happen with the coin they are promoting after an increase with population? Bitcoin could somehow hold that and I dont think there is one who can. They will have to wait for the oldness of bitcoin before they could take over.

This the law of nature, if bitcoin not keep on developing and follow the development then one day it will collapsed and replaced by other coin, the technology is keep on advancing bitcoin will need to adapt to it to survive
Well law of nature not apply on bitcoin as its not real at all. It is the most dominant cryptocurrency ever. Its an alpha and an alpha can't be replaced. Eth has shown a great potential and looks like it will be the omega

I agree that it is the circle of nature and every technology will be replaced by a new one as the time passes. But right now Bitcoin is too strong and no altcoin can replace it.

Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started. It was the pioneer in its field. In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B. Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.
After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B. Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?
What do you think? Please provide your reason(s) to support your view.
With the Yahoo, they could've improved and adapted the search engine whenever they wanted. So it's totally their fault. As for the BTC. You can not change the encryption and some other characteristics on the go (correct me if I'm wrong) Therefore such change is possible, even if the company does everything else perfectly.

Instead to say the last time to remain the live of the Bitcoin , you need to get it with your hard work . Because I seen that most of the people are using Bitcoin from big big investment and beside of this you are trolling the Bitcoin life . Don't forget that Bitcoin is a technology and it will get improvement every time when developer team feel that it needed to improve . And also you need to know that Bitcoin is always going in priority , and it is not a human like thing that will destroy after a particular age . Bitcoin was king and will remain still the king . Allover if we will give the priority to the Bitcoin then it will remain king forever and if we will use another coin instead of the Bitcoin then I am 100% Bitcoin will become useless which is not possible , because Bitcoin has a legality in many countries but another cryptocureency don't have .

That would depend largely on what bitcoin would turn out to be years from now and what the stakeholders are going to do for its continuous survival. In the case of Yahoo, Google took advantage of the deficiencies during that time and continued to develop and acquire other businesses along the way, which made them as powerful as they are now. Now if bitcoin can do the same thing or fold and give way to another currency is something that's nice to look forward to.

There are some potential altcoins that maybe reach $1000 mark, but the problem is we don't know yet what coin or what problem that may occur at that time. Meanwhile, bitcoin already set at $2500 and the problems has recognized, if blocksize matter or at least unconfirmed and high fees problems be solved, and then bitcoin will continue to rise. How about in 5-10 years later? No one could predict it precisely, but for now there is no big sign about bitcoin may ended as yahoo.

Its entirely different from crypto market.Yahoo failed to provide additional facilities as per the market conditions. So it was replaced by google. But bitcoin provides all the necessary features needed in today's environment except an issue of slow transactions. But bitcoin is unique and a master piece of creation. Its hardly impossible for bitcoin to be replaced by any altcoin.

We do not know, we cannot say of what will happen in the future since it is unpredictable. We can see the bright future of bitcoin since there are lots of supporters that totally support bitcoin but then we cannot say if in the voming years if there will be no coins that will.pump up and get the attention of people like bitcoin is having now. We cannot say what other future coin can do and can reach. We really do not know yet even it is successful now we can say what will happen in the future of it. But we hope for good one.
that's true that noone will never know about what would happened in the future , but i admit the analogy itself pretty good and makes sense. that the pioneer doesn't guarantee anything too keep on the top level. in cryptocurrency case right now ethereum looks like ready to takeover bitcoin place as the number 1 of cryptocurrency, besides bitcoin has some confirmation problem causing long time transaction to be processed, eth have been researched by seceral tech firms.

As far as Yahoo and Google is concerned, the latter invested a lot to expand it's operations while the former failed to reinvest in its core business and focused on buying stakes of large companies, for example Alibaba and with this its popularity declined. Bitcoin is the grandad of all cryptocurrencies. Would bitcoin suffer the same fate as Yahoo? There is a minute possibility of that happening, but a few good reasons that would not happen. 1. Store of value/limited supply. 2. Fungible. Even after 21 million bitcoins have been mined, there is a possibility that you could buy a cup of coffee with 1 satoshi. 3. Popularity. Bitcoin has been around for about 9 years and it took some time for it to go mainstream. If a new cryptocurrency has to overtake bitcoin then it would have to beat its popularity, but an advantage of 9 years is not a thing to be simply ignored. 4. Decentralized. Yeah it cold be argued that there are many other cyptocurrencies that are decentralized, but they does not have the above three features including ETH, centralized organization and mining.

You probably mean on the Yahoo's destiny, how it ended, otherwise Bitcoin and Yahoo are not comparable, these are totaly different categories. But I don't think that Bitcoin will share the same destiny as Yahoo. Bitcoin has ussr but has also the great potential and it has gone too far to be put on the margines just like that. Bitcoin will adapt and survive.

What ever you are telling is true, seeing the ETH growth everyone is thinking that it will take over bitcoin but who ever is telling this dont know that ETH supply is unlimited and it is controlled by the developers and anytime they can change without further information. ETH got so many times DDOS attack but bitcoin cannot be attacked only now the problem is transaction related and that too is created by the miners once that is solved then you will see how the ETH price will be downfalled and bitcoin price rising.

Yahoo got done cause it never improved, secondly it's marketing was bad. Bitcoin vs alts, look Firstly it's Bitcoins and all others were a copy and they hardly last long, sooner or later they disappear or become extinct, I don't see any threats to Bitcoin in the short or the long term. I would hold my coins for long term and make good money without any worries. Yahoo was always doomed the moment It allowed Google to get away.

How can anyone compare Bitcoin to Yahoo? I still remember what happened during the 90s. Yahoo went down as a result of its incompetent management. Some of the acquisitions made by the management turned out to be unprofitable, and unmanageable. Also, they tried a lot of monopolistic and anti-competitive practices during the first decade of 21st century.

Well i actually stumbled upon a site that after yahoo declined to sell the company i think microsoft tried to buy yahoo at 40 billion but they wanted more and after few years its ended up being sold at as you said 4 billion. But i dont think that is the case for btc because as long as blockchain is still there there is a low chance that it could be changed by other chains because it is not easy to just make your own blockchains that sends single blocks with secured transactions.

Such as what we know the future can not be guessed, whether botcoin is still in use or may end up being altcoin, and may be able to grow rapidly, because all that can happen, but all back to its users

I think that situation can happen. There's other alt coin with more advantages than bitcoin in term of transaction fee/speed and other things. If bitcoin stay at it is, i won't be surprised if other alt surpassed it.

I think it's possible to happen since bitcoin may be garbage soon because of it's problem from the transaction fee but if they improved their services maybe people will stay on bitcoin. We don't know maybe some altcoins may appear that is much better than bitcoins services like google chrome even tho their services is good they keep improving their services so that people will not lose their interest to them.

Bitcoin is not the as Yahoo. Bitcoin has its own quality that will last long forever. Yahoo still exists, it doesn't disappear. They will create for the better one to have improvements in our internet connection. Some company tries to beat one to earn fame and money. Bitcoin will live forever together with its high value. Don't bother yourself with thinking about that. If I were you, just relax and make money on bitcoin to avoid regrets in our life. That is the better way to do this. Yahoo and Google are just a search engine while Bitcoin is virtual currency. Do you think they are the same? For me, they were not the same. No gut, they have the same source but not the quality they have.
