Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future?

Yahoo was the first (?) search engine at the time when Internet started.  It was the pioneer in its field.  In the late 90's its market cap reached to a high closed to $120B.   Three and a half years after Yahoo started, Google came out and gradually took away market share from Yahoo.

After 22 years, Verizon bought it for $4.8B.  Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future and got beat up by new competitions?

I guess it will not be like that easily unless some sort of high technology came off and a new form of currency was made and more advance than bitcoin i guess it can be a reason of the bitcoin to go down but at this rate i guess bitcon progress will continue.

Ya it is true that what you said about only if the new altcoin have the all features which bitcoin had and works the same way of bitcoin, then their may be chances but that is also thin. even eth got burst recently and not able to take the high traffic of transactions and blockchain got problem and it got shut down.

I don't think that Bitcoin will just end up like Yahoo because we have continuous development and that makes bitcoin stronger and it will make bitcoin more valuable in the future. If we will continue doing what are doing in bitcoin (Continuing the development, supporting and many positive things) then we will not expect bad things anymore.

We don't know when but maybe Ethereum may surpassed bitcoin in 5 years or 10 just like google who succeed and now it is the number 1 search engine that most people use now. but we don't know the outcome yet so we can't say it for now but maybe in future it will.

Well, all the price of altcoins always depends on the bitcoin price. If bitcoin go down someday, i'm sure it will affect the most of altcoin too. I'm also agree that Ethereum can going up when bitcoin going down but it will takes a long time to wait.

They are bought different on any perspective. They also have a different situation so basically it is almost impossible that bitcoin will end up like yahoo right now

Possible because the bitcoin have no platform at all it is simply the first and largest cryptocurrency and I think if new coin will be created with the great platform than bitcoin and the transactions will be not a problem in that new coin that will be the next bitcoin but no one can said the future so let's just wait.

Yeah, i agree with you. If there will be a coin like bitcoin but better features and a lot faster and safer than bitcoin then a lot of people will become interested to that and they will just go from bitcoin into that new coin and bitcoin will just die and get replaced by a better coin. Bitcoin needs a lot of improvement so in the future it will not end up like the company; Yahoo.

Well it is plausible that something supercedes it in the long run, but it will always have a place and value to it as long as their remains a group of people who are willing to support it in the long run. That said new cryptocurrencies may emerge that people will adopt and use more often so yes a Yahoo is a possibility, although people tend to do myspace and facebook examples.

You are spot on. Google was able to demolish Yahoo, as the promoters were intelligent enough to realize that without the support from the content creators, they will never be able to grow. Giving out the majority of the revenues to the content creators was a master-stroke. It gave them a huge market-share in the internet sector.

Yes I agree with you that there is no altcoin that can compete with bitcoin.  There are so many digital coins emerging and even different countries have its own digital coins.  Considering this, still there are many people continuously supporting and using bitcoins.  It is so nice that I was able to know about bitcoins.

Bitcoin already facing so many problems so yes the possibility can not be denied. It may be replaced by eth or some other coin which has better technology and is user friendly. Yes I agree with you that there is no altcoin that can compete with bitcoin.  There are so many digital coins emerging and even different countries have its own digital coins.  Considering this, still there are many people continuously supporting and using bitcoins.  It is so nice that I was able to know about bitcoins.

I think there is altcoin that can compete with bitcoin like ETH however, they cannot replace it. Even though bitcoin face many problem still it can't be replace that easily because I believe that it is just normal. Besides, as long as there are people who are supporting bitcoin it will never be vanish.

Bitcoin and yahoo have different business strategy . Yahoo never been a open source and independent organisation and even it's having limited supply yes of course it has to adopt changes along with the way .

Yahoo tried to do too much and did everything badly.  They should just have done search and been the best at it.

This right here is exactly the reason why I trust Bitcoin to succeed over eg. Ethereum. (not saying that Ethereum is bad, merely that Bitcoin's simplicity may also be one of its most important features in times to come)

What do you think about US dollar before it has been in America for years and it's completely far from being replaced up til' now. And in bitcoin, no it's not going to be overtake or being replaced or sink in the future. Bitcoin is very strong.

The global industry will really compete in this, and will only produce 1 winner in the crypto world. I don't think so, the market perception of bitcoin is totally different than the example you explained above. Bitcoin became like a fiat currency of crypto markets.

The relationship between the two is only being a leader at an industry at a time, I don't see bitcoin having any other relationship with Yahoo, which is a privately operated company with very low efficiency, Bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency and the current ETH HYIP showed that even more, with the instability of other altcoins.
