There is nothing wrong with a little controversy. Bitcoin is an amazing achievement and technology, however there are some flaws still. The industry overall is very hot, so its healthy to bring it back down a bit at times.

Yeah, I hate it when people just blindly praise Bitcoin and fail to acknowledge it's flaws. Some people just glorify Bitcoin in a way that doesn't help anyone.
I ;ean, you see it often enough here on this forum that people will just flat out refuse to accept any criticism.

It's gotten a bit better since the fees are rising through the roof, that's an obvious flaw that affects almost everyone.

I never seen any reason why bitcoin completely garbage we are seeing in the market that the price of bitcoin are still increasing it means many people are still supporting and trusting  bitcoin.
Maybe this man loses a lot of bitcoin and he wants bitcoin to go down and buy a bitcoin for cheap price or he wants bitcoin to fall down and invest other bitcoin users to other altcoin.
But for me i'll stay continue to support and believe in bitcoin and its impossible that bitcoin will be garbage.. we are heard many terms about bitcoin these months like bitcoin is already dead that i think its impossible right now to happen because many people and company are investing in bitcoin.. and bitcoin is growing daily..

Ethereum are still altcoin they are added other feature that is why its more better but overall its just a copy paste of bitcoin.. why you are pushing down bitcoin? The fact that if there is no bitcoin those altcoin will never exist.
And its impossible that bitcoin will be down and become a garbage, bitcoin are in the new level where altcoin is impossible to reach. .
That i think if there's a chance that ethereum will be rise above bitcoin we will experience more disaster that bitcoin already experience bad issue and fixed.. unlike ethereum we do not know ethereum if it increase the same path of bitcoin it can experience much more issue than bitcoin ..

The debate of the scaling problem bitcoin already done by the politicians over 2 years. Looks pity to see those are arguing his statement against others.

I think the scaling problem will have resolved in august.
Segwit + 2 MB hardfork. I can't be patient.

Ethereum is good in its own way, same thing goes for Bitcoin. I don't think that ETH is really better than BTC because it is essentially comparing apples to oranges, but that's not really something I can voice my opinions on since I'm not constantly involved with the Ethereum community.
Bitcoin does have its own shortcomings and the blocksize is definitely something that has to be considered more actively, but I have a fair amount of faith that things will carry on and BTC and ETH will complement each other, ideally.

It looks like it will either be solved this year or fork into 2, either way I think it will be much better for bitcoin long term.

The author merely expresses his distrust of the volatility of bitcoin,and I think this issue has been largely discusses here, but I think the bitcoin and all other altcoins have been used by speculators to make money because the altcoin market is barely emerging and it will still take a long time to reach maturity and present lower volatility in the prices.

Apart from this, the article is shallow and does not deserve to be taken seriously to disqualify bitcoin.

The article doesn't really prove anything. Bitcoin is not garbage. The author most likely does not even know exactly what is bitcoin and is just drawing conclusions from the rising price that it's probably a ponzi scheme etc., which it is not. The questions that he asks in the article are legitimate, however he just answers his own questions for some reason and assumes that's how every bitcoiner will answer it. If he bothered to ask an established bitcoiner for an explanation of what bitcoin is before this article is written then he would likely be convnced into using BTC as well.

Everyone have the right to express their opinion, others can choose to listen to it, or not. There is like zillion columnists, bloggers and others with similar profession, all they do is talking and expressing their own opinion, sometimes they are right about something and in most cases they are not, everyone can open a blog and wrote what ever comes on that persons mind.
Even here we had, and we still have some people that wrote about the end of bitcoin, destroying bitcoin, simply we don`t need to pay much attention on this pessimistic people. Even bitcoin price is rising, and stronger then ever this people will never stand up and say that they were wrong.

I agree to the fluctuations part that is really unbelievable right now but for me cryptos is still in a early childhood stage and more event will soon to happen(only My own opinion)

Maybe the author of this article has invested most of his savings to Bitcoin or some other altcoin and loses 30% of it in instant that is why he titled this up or maybe just for the sake of click baiting to get more traffic to his article, who knows.

The thing is, the article is obviously biased.

This is a site that focuses on the stockmarket, and obviously it's in their best interests to cover positive news about the stockmarket and centralized banks, whilst providing negative news for cryptocurrencies because they know that it's going to disrupt their whole business model.

Central bankers don't like bitcoins because they know it's going to replace fiat - and they want to influence others to not like bitcoin too. I'm fine with people not liking bitcoin but at least, keep it to yourself.
