As far as I remember, 500 unify is the minimum in order to stake (it has been asked and answered on telegram).

They are not actively posting here but still working on the project. They don't want the same mistake to happen again (announcing without 100% working product). Join in the telegram channel, the team is answering there once in a while especially for important concerns.

This is factually incorrect, there was no initial coin offering.  It began as a PoW coin and switched to PoS.

There haven't been many updates from us last month.

The problem was that we have found a bug in the WebWallet that randomly was multiplying the balances of some wallets.

To fix it, we have had to find a new, professional, coin developer. Which we did! I have hired Lee, a coin developer from South Korea ( https://twitter.com/ihook98) to work for us for full-time!

Since the WebWallet is now fixed, Lee will start developing an Android wallet.

I think most people forget that Unify is a solid long term coin that will deliver. I'm in no hurry for the price to rise as right now is a good time to accumulate more Unify while the price is low. Once developments are released then we can expect the price to slowly rise, I just hope it doesn't rise to fast as slow steady movement up is the best thing for any coin. While we all wait we can earn some decent rewards from staking!

I tried to install unify qt wallet and its not working. how can I resolve this issue?

Since it's about permission, have you checked the permission of the unify qt (if you have full control on it)?
If yes, some other possible reasons are:
[1] Your anti-virus is blocking the software. There have been cases like this before, I experienced it, however, it was blocked right before finishing the download. As far as I remember they solved the issue for most AV, but still try checking by turning your AV off and run the unify qt.
[2] The file location is different or the file is corrupted. Double check and make sure that the unify qt is not corrupted or removed/transferred in a different location especially if you're using a shortcut in opening it. You could delete and download it again, just make sure you have a back up of your wallet.dat
