How this is going to work? Even most of the whites living in the United States have black genes (although in very low amounts, say 1% to 3%). Similarly, the African Americans are genetically around 50% Black, 40% White and 10% other (mostly American Indian), although they never acknowledge their white heritage.

As for China, we'll have enough time to see what they'll do there. Despite what you see in the news about China leading in green tech, they still have lax industry controls, leading to soil and waterways poisoned with heavy metals and the infamous smog. I suppose regulations in Africa would be much laxer.

China and green tech? To me they are diagonally opposite to each other. It is not just the major cities such as Shanghai and Shenzhen. Go to any village in Southern China and you will be horrified at the levels of industrial pollution. I just hope that they will not implement the same methodology in Africa and destroy that continent as well.

Well, that's what they keep touting. I just see news articles online and can see the damage done. Problem with heavy metals on the soil is that they're time-consuming and expensive to get rid of. Phytoremediation might work but it would take quite some time to bioaccumulate them, not to mention if you want to reuse those minerals, you'd have to extract them again. If not, then the problem is where to dump them.

It's just far easier to rent farmland abroad in countries with large tracts of undeveloped land.

I also heard about attempts to develop such a virus, but I think it's fantastic. All these experiments for me is a manifestation of fascism. Hitler also tried to cultivate the Aryan race and what it led to we all know.

I would say that external intervention has done more good than bad in the African continent. Almost all the major powers (including the USA, France, and the USSR) have tried to install regimes which favor them in various African nations. This in turn has resulted in anarchy, chaos, and civil wars.

But it will be wrong to put all the blame on the foreigners. For example, the slave trading was impossible without the support from the African intermediaries. Most of the slave hunting trips were organized by the native factions, who sold the slaves to the Arabs and the Europeans later.

Just realized that evil originated with man (posted recently in the 'one world currency = bitcoin thread). The mark of the beast is indeed the mark of man. Evil originated in the Garden, the Garden was the source of us all. So where man came from, surely was the source. Since I agree that's Africa, I begrudging agree with this thread title.

I've never been in the United Arab Emirates, but I saw a television program in which he said that the locals there don't work. All the work is done visiting migrants. If so then this can also be considered as an example of modern slavery.
