i think bitcoin is legal on the first place, since there is no criminal activity behind, only people who uses bitcoin in illegal activities that's why bitcoin is being tagged as illegal, there are also a lot of scammers out there, that will say if you invest your bitcoin with them it will grow to 100% in a short amount of time and i think this is one of the reasons why governments declare hat bitcoin is illegal or banned in the or banned in their country, but if people will only use bitcoin not to take advantage of others, i think bitcoin will be legalized in all countries. there was once a company who are selling gold, if you joined them, i think they turned gold into a pyramiding scheme, but we don't see gold being banned from countries, possibly because people have accepted gold to be a currency or an asset, i think bitcoin will also go through that stage, wherein countries will accept bitcoin as currency and as an asset, hopefully those people who scam others will change their ways, since legalization of bitcoin by all countries, will benefit all, and i think that bitcoin having anonymity and being decentralized will not be a problem, a good example for this is japan.

Do you think if we create an initiative group for the legalization of bitcoin. To find uninhabited island, to announce the collection of funds for its acquisition. Everyone who contribute will receive a piece of this island. Based on the state of Bitcoin official currency of this state to make a bitcoin. Do you like this idea?
I think it's about time that they make bitcoin legal. I mean there is nothing wrong with bitcoin. Even some of the countries like Japan have already legalized and implemented it. So, I don't see anything wrong in using bitcoin.

Legalization is a very long process, we ard talking here about the whole world and not with a single nation. It is very hard but let us just take it in the positive way. May the legalization make BTC becomes useful and popular.
Many Asian countries have legalized it but again some of its big supporters like china and Russia have made some move against it in the past while they were big supporter of it once so it is difficult to say who is going to legalize bitcoin and who is not. Also, nobody knows for how long will a country support this currency but many businesses are accepting it and it has been praised by all great tech tycoons. The love of people for bitcoin is increasing and that is all what matters

Russia make this to prevent from any crypto users avoiding taxes and you know what? It means that they do allow the usage of bitcoin as long the users always comply with the regulation and pay taxes. same goes for china, the exchanges there are now already resumed and everything is going fine.

The same thing will be happened soon in Vietnam, the government is going to ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in next year cause they don't have enough ability to control Bitcoin to avoid it's taken advatage. In Vietnam, a lot of HYIP organizations are taking advatage of Bitcoin to scam people. Beside a lot of crime trying to use cryptocurrency to evade taxes.

Idea of piece of island is great. But its only an idea in practise it is not possible. All the islands of the world are owned by governments. Regarding legal status of bitcoins, it depends on the rules and regulations of every country. At the time of introduction all have opposed concept and operation of bitcoins. But now after understanding its importance or benifits or may be popularity of bitcoins compelling the governments to accept them as it is. Many governments have allowed bitcoin trades. Japan is promoting bitcoin currency by opening bitcoin ATM`s. Still communist countries like China and Russia are opposing they as they think bitcoin is a threat to their economies. India is in confusing state, its had not banned trade or investments in bitcoins but warning citizens against its use. To obtain legal status for bitcpin in every country, the citizens must put pressure on their respective governments.

Bitcoin is very beneficial on user cause it gives an opportunity in earning money using this, just like what happen in some countries (australia, japan, south korea and etc.) that their economy was already accepting the bitcoin due to the profits and income by the country.

The idea is so futuristic and fictional. The truth is you might find an unhabitable island but that belongs to a government, you cant just have it instantly. But that would happen in the future, this idea maybe use as an experimental way of identifying wether a crypto system society will work out. Once it work out, this may possibly be the start for each government to adapt with Bitcoin system. Well this project seems to be impossible but once work out, it will be a new season fir bitcoin.

I think this is a good plot for a movie. Seriously though we don't need that kind of effort to make bitcoin legal. If nations says its legal to them then its binding and legal, otherwise they are against it. We don't need to force them to accept bitcoin. Its their lost. And dump your idea, no one will take it seriously. No man is an island. And everyone will try to get a piece of the land, huge portion of the island. LOL. There will be fighting there.

Different countries have different laws and rules, The legal status of bitcoin varies substantially from country to country and is still undefined or changing in many of them.Whilst the majority of countries do not make the usage of bitcoin itself illegal (with the exceptions of: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Ecuador & Kyrgyzstan), its status as money (or a commodity) varies, with differing regulatory implications. While some countries have explicitly allowed its use and trade, others have banned or restricted it. Likewise, various government agencies, departments, and courts have classified bitcoins differently. While this article provides the legal status of bitcoin, regulations and bans that apply to this cryptocurrency likely extend to similar systems as well.

Looking at the number of countries that has declared it illegal, it is smaller to the countries not saying anything about it and countries that have legalized it. There is so much coming up for bitcoin over the years and legalization by some countries so they can start benefiting from it once and for all is one. Also, according to the OP, even though his idea sounds nice, it is impossible as you cannot just go to a country and start imposing laws when they already have theirs.

They will be enjoying special perks as developers in the near future because future is all about bitcoins. But other countries, they know well what are the advantages bitcoin is taking along with, still just the decentralized feature of bitcoin is hurdle.

The idea is fantastic from both points of view. I mean it is really cool, but on the other way, there are 99 chances from 100 that it will be not supported. Besides it, Bitcoin legalization can lead the cryptocurrency market to the situation when BTC will start falling dramatically.

Who cares if bitcoin is declared legal or not in your country? I'm not using bitcoins because my government said it's OK I'm using it because I can make my own decisions with my own money.
More likely, who cares if bitcoin is declared or not in each of everyones country, we can use it as long as we are not violating any rules of the law and we are not harming any one. Actually, having and using this doesn't give any criminal liabilities to us that make us afraid to have it in our wallet. Declaration of bitcoin legalization is totally a long way process, it takes time to have a final decision from the authorities. Once it become legalized, probably it is possible taxes will be imposed to the bitcoin holders. But in terms of controlling bitcoin-absolutely they can't make it.

Even though the idea is utopic I liked it. In my opinion If you consider doing it seriously, you should in the first place publish your plan on how to do it and clarify those needed legal and tax requirements because no one will follow you and will tell you what is needed to do in order to make it. So if you publish an article and convince people on how this is possible to be done the idea takes a different level. As an example, telling people where this inhabitant island is, how it can be bought, who holds its shares, ... can be helpful on taking the idea in next step.

If bitcoin being legalized it means that they control bitcoin so it will affect bitcoin paradigm as decentralized currency. There is pros and cons for legalization but overall it's also keep bitcoin popularity getting increase
No one could control the bitcoin network but any government could control the flow of money going out of their country and that is how these legalization works too, they monitor the flow of money to bitcoin by controlling or keep a tab at the exchanges running in that particular country and taxing the users on the process.

some countries are legalization bitcoin it's enough for me.. I do not really hope bitcoin can be legalization in my country, during my country not banned bitcoin eventhough the goverment not recognize bitcoin and I still can using bitcoin it's no problem..
For me, there is nothing to afraid of making it legal. Because with this, it could give additional trust and confidence to the people who are investing bitcoin. Even though it happens that bitcoin is being legalize, it doesn't mean that the goverment will take control of bitcoin. Still bitcoin is decentralized. I have come to know that many countries legalized bitcoin and they are using bitcoin as a regular currency not only internationally but also in their local markets. Like south Africa, japan, India, Vietnam and now the Russia have also decided that in the next year they will also legalized bitcoin. Then the Russian will also use bitcoin for their needs. I appreciate and submit that now the world is turning towards legalization of bitcoin.

There are number of countries in this world who are actually showing a very positive interest in declaring bitcoin as legal currency and there are very bright chances of this thing to happen as well. We just need to wait and watch.

The love of people for bitcoin is increasing and that is all what matters Honestly, the adoption in Asian countries is really surprising. It sounds more like they are seeing much of the benefits they stand to gain from it than the rest of the world. It is pleasing though and I really hope some other part of the world would start taking steps towards it than trying to attack it. China may soon have a comeback and I really see that getting huge. They have not stopped its usage yet and can be used as long as it is P2P, and hopefully if the regulations of the exchanges get concluded, it would be a good thing for the people, the country and bitcoin community. But one thing for sure is that bitcoin's growth is not dependent on their decisions as it would still grow anyway.
