@OP
You are using the wrong fork.
The right one is here: https://github.com/pocoqoco/yacoin

Don't bother, it is not real.

But just for practice so you'll be ready when the real one comes out,

qmake
make

Or if your QT is qt4,

qmake-qt4
make

I am assuming using the GUI builder would be anathema to a command-line chap like yourself of course.

Its real in many ways.

1) First blocks started around 24H deadline so I been told. Maybe MarkM can check it.

2) Its fully working coin with POW and POS. We sent some coins its working

3) There is no way to say yac made a slip or what. Note he is quiet. Anyway I am keen to speculate on it after china coin with its borked code went to exchange Smiley

even if it is real it's not released and as such premined.

What are its default ports, what is its address-representation offset (or what number or letter appears as first number or letter of most addresses it creates), and what is the four-byte network connection handshake it uses?

Actually 19691 blocks> what the fuck

Hence the questions aimed at discovering what network it is connecting to.

Are people losing the coins they thought they had mined, as would happen if for example it managed to connect to the Novacoin net and realise everything it thought it had mined was on an orphan chain?
