Post your connection details/bat file details here

ccminer.exe -a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gcpool.edu:3349 -u SYBH7Y3A5p5YqyVXCKVr2vnHNpKH2RiN8M

Nope , wont work cause :

wrong Connection Address !

must be   stratum+tcp://gcpool.eu:3349

and it WONT work with Worker Addy . its an MPOS Pool ! ( means you has to registrate with an Name )

then

ccminer.exe -a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://gcpool.eu:3349 -u MYREGNAME.1   -p x

see here :

http://socc.gcpool.eu/index.php?page=gettingstarted

Ok I was able to start mining, but I'm getting 630~ kh/s with my GTX 1070 which seems terribly low. Statistics on the pool say I'd get 0.75~ SOCC a day. Not even ONE coin. And one coin is worth 2 cents right now.
This can't be right. Net hashrate is said to be 407.35 MH/s which is extremely high considering I'm getting a few kh/s. Difficulty seems crazy high too. I don't get it.

Ikr... Mine is worst.. I am only getting 250+ kh/s which is super unprofitable to mine this coin... Well, I guess I cant really mine this coin with a GTX 950 sadly.. Considering the fact that 1 SOCC is worth only 2cents.

Dev I strongly suggest, start working on more professional website from marketing perspective and need more volume exchange like cryptopia is a must. If you dont have funds maybe open donation adress. Yobit is not favorable exchange, lot of problems with wallets and novaexchange cannot compare with cryptopia from volume perspective

The Yobit and Nova wallets are fine in my view, maintenance status refers to the occasional slowness in the blockchain. Once a block is found the wallet on the exchange switches to online. Standard practice.

I agree. Cryptopia would be good. I hope the Dev considers this. I also think Masternodes are always good. I wish masternodes and Cryptopia would happen. Maybe the dev can consider this. Otherwise, it seems Socc coin is going down in value lately.

I agree with you. Could Dev answer? What do you think about

I will look at masternodes when I'm back. Cryptopia isn't cheap and we need to see the value adjust and settle after this latest BTC spike.

You are pushing it well dev, just continue on long run. This is rare coin with complete project idea, vision and usability mission. If you implement quality masternodes for long term hold that would be even HUGE surplass. Cryptopia has quality volume for project like this. If you have experience you would know that. It would draw attention very quick.

Yea, I think Cryptopia and Masternodes would be huge for this coin IMO. Hope the developer considers these options.

Dev you could try to listen the community it will help you. Only together we can succeed. That's one thing, the another if the hard-fork and its risks are over take out the warining from the ANN. It freaks out people as dangerous and lowers the value of the coin IMO

Is it just me or is the socialcoin disabled on the Yobit exchange?? Also, why has the volume for this coin fell so sharply as well as its price. I sincerely hope that this coin is not dead yet.

It's not dead. As I've said repeatedly, the blockchain needs miners. Wallets go into maintenance mode when no new blocks are found after a period of time. Once a block is found, ALL wallets will sync whether client or exchange.

Me too! My wallet hasn't synced for 12 days. I followed the first page instructions but maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm pretty sure I remember reading dev is on vacation so no need to panic yet. Is it safe to transfer SOCC from yobit and nova to my wallet? or should I wait?

Probably the safer option would be to wait.

Blocks can't move guys without miners as I've pointed out repeatedly Roll Eyes

Latest block went in the last day or so but I am beginning to think that masternodes are the only way of kicking the blockchain forward. That's not necessarily what masternodes are designed to solely achieve in my view so need to think about this.

Latest block went in the last day or so but I am beginning to think that masternodes are the only way of kicking the blockchain forward. That's not necessarily what masternodes are designed to solely achieve in my view so need to think about this.

First, SYE Mining Pool (http://pool.sye.host/) appears to have dropped SOCC so you may want to remove from front page.

Second, I still can't get my wallet to sync. I followed the instructions on the front page and my conf looks like this but the wallet shows 2 weeks behind and 0 connections:

Code:
rpcuser=<user>
rpcpassword=<pass>
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18646
port=18645
listen=1
server=1
connect=217.175.119.126:18645

I tried adding the additional nodes and the wallet shows 45 days behind and 1 active connection:

Code:
addnode=13.59.61.11:18645
addnode=13.59.61.11:18645
addnode=51.9.44.233:18645
addnode=109.152.186.237:18645
addnode=5.167.121.35:18645
addnode=31.8.179.249:18645
addnode=31.54.191.5:18645

Please help me.

Third, scrypt isn't ideal for the average GPU miner. It seems SOCC is a coin with a purpose geared towards the average joe but with technical specs geared towards rich ASIC miners. Which may be contributing to the lack of mining interest. Regardless, I'm going to attempt to basically solo mine with my 8 gpu mining rig. Any suggestions for the best scrypt mining program for nvidia?

Managed to resolve the wallet sync issue by redownloading the windows wallet, deleting everything except the socialcoin.conf and wallet.dat in %AppData%\Socialcoin. Ignored the first page tutorial and put this in socialcoin.conf like before:

Code:
rpcuser=<user>
rpcpassword=<pass>
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18646
port=18645
listen=1
server=1
addnode=13.59.61.11:18645
addnode=13.59.61.11:18645
addnode=51.9.44.233:18645
addnode=109.152.186.237:18645
addnode=5.167.121.35:18645
addnode=31.8.179.249:18645
addnode=31.54.191.5:18645

Launched wallet and everything synced to 2 days ago which is the last time the blockchain moved as mentioned. Verified block number in debug window matches the explorer at 5706. So yay.
