I have a Butterfly Labs 5GH/s miner (it's one of the older cubes, not the newer slim model,) and 5 GH/s isn't worth mining Bitcoin. Is it possible to mine Litecoin (or any other currencies) with this device? I haven't been able to Google much information, so I'm sort of starting here.

Model: BF0005G

Thanks in advance!

No way in the world. Litecoin is scrypt algo and Bitcoin is sha256d. You may want to go inquire for litecoin asics in the altcoin board, this is the BTC board.

Thanks for the answer--is there anything Bitcoin-related that I could do with this hardware?

Is it anything more than a paperweight now?

Yes, sell it on ebay for a few sheckles and put that money toward either a modern day asic miner or a GPU miner.
