Lack of interest doesnt mean that they do fail on gaining popularity of a particular pvp game. There are lots of factors thats why players or gamblers do decide to play another stuff. I cant think off another game rather than pvp based card games, head or tails, jack en poys but i think its really common and people do always go on traditional games in the market.

i think you may be confusing DOTA with some other game. because DOTA 2 is a free game on steam that can be played P2P or team against team of 10 people in total and you just need a team and some free time to play it. you can even play it in solo mode meaning 1 versus 1 only middle lane

I think with enough coding skills, the latency problems can be solved, if you have a good netcode, you can play for big amounts of money, because the netcode is sharp. Yeah, cardgames are definitely the easiest way to design a decent pvp game. Too bad that the only game casino's offer is poker or some variant of poker.

I'm reluctant to give up though, even though there's noone really continuing to play after its release: rpsbet.com. Same here because I cannot find any games where I am competing against other players. Pubg you mentioned is actually impossible to corporate into player betting because there are ways to cheat the game and if someone is using hacks they are basically scamming the other player and later it would be the casino who would have to pay the player for their inability to maintain integrity for players.

Is it skill-based or not? If yes then give up, that isn't even gambling anymore, that's just a tournament, a competition. Though if it is not, then there's a feature in one of the CSGO gambling sites where users can match against others with their stakes and they roll a dice, the higher result gets the winning prize (which is a skin). I believe games like chess would be the best option for PvP games. There can be other games based on skill or luck and if I am not wrong there used to be a dice game on Primedice during its initial days where we were allowed to play against fellow players on the primedice platform and there was a small fees which was charged though, not sure about that though.

While there are a lot of people playing it, it is still not that balanced. There are still a lot of heroes that could dominate the game and I think that could not be always controlled since it is a MOBA, it is a fighting game and that also means that it would not always be balanced. You aren't taking advantage actually but you are just challenging players and there can be some kind of MMR (Match making rating) which can be used to make sure players are matched on the same level. I think bet amounts needs to be small in these games because big chances to earn attract more cheaters in these games.

If you play chess online you must know that there are various settings players can chose from like maximum time per move or maximum time to make all your moves combined. So you can take 2 mins for example per move when its your turn which means the game will not go on for too long.

The problem with chess is that the person who is playing against you might be using some kind of script or computer based moves which almost guarantee that you cannot win and in best case scenario you might be able to draw the game if you are using such scripts. I do think they should add games like :
Chess where people are allowed to play against each other. Or one might even take a little step further and have some racing games etc.
Honestly gambling is very prevent in pvp gaming since I did see a lot of matches and tournaments where people pay to get inside the game and at the end whosoever wins takes the winning with them, I do believe this is also a sort of skill gambling. All the major games have such tournaments and people tend to control these things themselves because at the end of the day if there is no third party involved people are more attracted to such games.

If I am right, there are already a lot of gambling chess website that has been around for quite some time now, although I am not an expert on chess, I've already found some regarding about chess and other board games using a simple google search.

In terms with Tekken, a famous multiplayer fight video game, I've found certain restriction on the company in regards of the game being used for gambling. Also, I did a quick research regarding the 1v1 gambling match for CS:GO, DOTA 2 and other steam games and I have also found out that it's either steam or valve are targeting those website that profit/ gambling using their games. a real billiard table and a real cue stick would be much better, i think it's fair for both players still to gamble with an online 9ball game. i would probably participate in it. Did you hear about the game Axie Infinity? I able to play the game. It was a PVP Pokemon like type of game where you will battle 3 axies as a team against another 3-Axie team. Axie is what you called those creatures. Aren't Esports players bet with Fiat and they do it physically, its my first time hearing these type of PVP gambling and most online gambling platforms doesn't have this. You don;t need to invent something already in use. And millions of people playing in it everyday. What could be invented, already invented 

Mahjong is one of the best for me.

From my grandma down to my Parents and now our generation are playing this Game , though a Chinese originated Gambling yet this is the most popular in my place.

Computers are way better than the average player so there will be a lot of cheating involved unless you could find a way to somehow detect that, to give you an idea of how difficult this is chess tournaments that require the physical presence of the players have problems ensuring there is no cheating involved, there have been many cases like people going many times to the bathroom and check their phones for moves, to people being signal the right moves by another person using a computer, so I do not think casinos can guarantee that players will not cheat and that is why chess is not offered as a gambling game.

Hehe, that is true. I feel that games like chess though should be played with enough time because it kills the whole purpose of the chess game if we are speeding through our moves without actually thinking as much as we should.

Multipayer chess games are there but none of them are paid, at least none that I am aware of. One reason is because of the high possibility of cheating going on and bots playing instead of humans. Another reason is that no matter how much we hype chess game, it remains boring and absolutely worthless for the viewers.

I am someone who watches snooker and I feel like chess is almost the same. At least in snooker, there are some good shots and viewers can cheer for them, otherwise just sit idle and watch them play. I rather prefer games where we can cheer and get involved like multiplayer games like DOTA2.

It is difficult to tap into this industry, but i would not say that you should be calling all projects dead just yet. An ICO that I managed in my local board (Asuracoin) seems to be pretty much dead and some other like "flipcoin" do not seem to go any further. However, the industry is so big and there is so much growth that there will certainly be more projects in the comming years.
