I agree with chess game as I really love this game and am kind of good at it, but it's totally based on skills though, and not even any luck involved, so that might lessen the thrill of gambling or playing when playing chess as a pvp game. I would say poker would be a close second because of the luck involved a bit. Or even pool game, there's math, skill and luck in it.

If you are looking for a good PvP gambling then the best choice for me is poker and baccarat because this two are one of the most pvp gambling game and wait it is more interesting when it is not online gambling but a live poker in which your enemy is in front of you. Well, you can have PvP games being played against each other, without them having an influence on the outcome of the game. So you do not rely on the skill of the player, but rather the random outcome of a algorithm that are provably fair. This will eliminate a scenario where Pro players, win all PvP games. (like in Poker)

Even Chess can work, if you implement a handicap and ranking system for players that are constantly winning. You can have webcam games with moderators popping in to monitor if someone is using AI devices. (The players cannot see when the mods are in the session and the sessions can be recorded)

I think car racing, rock, paper, scissors, online games such as mobile legends, dota, LOL, CS:GO, etc. There are a lot of options however, I think this is difficult for platforms to set-up such betting system using other games. Is it skill-based or not? If yes then give up, that isn't even gambling anymore, that's just a tournament, a competition. Though if it is not, then there's a feature in one of the CSGO gambling sites where users can match against others with their stakes and they roll a dice, the higher result gets the winning prize (which is a skin). It's kind of interesting since people who bet with the same amount could directly fight against each other, without any raising or whatnot that could result in a bluff or not, it solely results in a player winning or losing due to luck.

Online games CAN be part of PVP gambling, but not all of them can be one. Heck most of them can't. Those are "games" in the purest sense, part luck part skill, contrary to what gambling makes it "gambling", which is to completely rely on luck. That's just imo though.

I'm an Oldschool but for me Best PvP game ? it is Counterstrike and Rules of Survival , I love Gun shooting Games and i enjoy having thrill in playing like those i mentioned.
But all of us has their Own perception of what made them interested and enjoying in each game so we cannot expect answer that will support another.

I believe games like chess would be the best option for PvP games. There can be other games based on skill or luck and if I am not wrong there used to be a dice game on Primedice during its initial days where we were allowed to play against fellow players on the primedice platform and there was a small fees which was charged though, not sure about that though.

By the way this topic was started years ago but I am shocked no PvP games have been made yet, maybe because the house wants the player to lose money to them instead of other players but with the help of a small fees per bet there can be platforms who might offer these games.

Chess can certainly be a better solution. But I'm not sure that Chess will be very popular. After all, it's not a game for everyone and games can take a very long time. I once went to chess school and I remember that once a game lasted more than 6 hours. I think a lot of people would get bored with such a long game. We need a game that lasts no more than an hour and a half.

All I can think of right now are games that have been played in our country for a lot of years now. Tongits, Pusoy, Pusoy dos, Lucky 9, Bit Game, and right now the "What's in the middle game", which I am not familiar with. Why are people thinking about Dota 2?

While there are a lot of people playing it, it is still not that balanced. There are still a lot of heroes that could dominate the game and I think that could not be always controlled since it is a MOBA, it is a fighting game and that also means that it would not always be balanced. I don't think it would be the best PvP that we have, but its what we have right now.
