So I bought some bitcoin the other day because i needed to purchase something but ended up not been able to complete the purchase. I have 1.56btc now which i bought @ $3800 today its 3500 so i am losing money by just having it there. should i get rid of it now and take my losses or wait? how long do u think until the price goes back to normal?

   Some bitcoins I bought on + $4000, I bought much less then you and invested in some alt-coins, and later I bought for saving. I am
still buying and my plan is to buy when ever I have a chance for that. I am thinking in long term, so should you, do not sell before you
make at least double profit with your investment.
   Some people waited for years to make profit and I plan to do the same. With bitcoins and some alt-coins more waiting means more
profit and I am waiting cause of that and in meanwhile when ever I have extra cash I am buying bitcoins and then with bitcoins I am
investing more in alt-coins.

Well, if you bought bitcoin while it's in a higher value it wouldn't be a good idea to sell don't lose hope dude the price drop is not going to be a long-term situation of bitcoin, I think you should buy more while it is on a lower level and keep on holding it until it's back at $4000 level depending on your target value .

It has to considered as an buy time because the price decline took place to a large scale which happened in unexpected time. Now the recovery phase has begun, so surely growth continues for a longer time period. It's better to make some profit rather than missing the chance and feeling bad when it grows very big.

the most followed method when your trading is sell high/buy low because that seem to work all the time if you want to trade but net yet experienced then you should follow that and as you see the value of btc are going up again to 4000$ so i guess this is the time to sell off your hard earned bitcoins but if your on to buying then you should wait some time if the bitcoins value would drop below 4000$ to 3500 for a better savings.

make sure you did not overconfident , keep buying and you don't know when to sell it again , when the time to cut loss when have to wait etc. as it could bring you more and more loss if you do it carelessly.

Don't understand much your English but you are saying that today is right time to sell? We are just starting to gained momentum again and then you will consider selling today?

If that is your own decision then go. Just don't regret later as per basic rule, don't sell when the price is increasing continously.
