Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st?

I will purchase more bitcoin, I never beyond any doubt however for me, it's a smart thought. Since in August comes I will sit tight at the astonishing cost of bitcoin. I think this is an ideal opportunity to purchase more bitcoin before the time of August. I think August is not the end and we astonishing what is happen and I think it's decent. I don't stress over coming in August in light of the fact that bitcoin is not finishing and the cost is possibly high. I will purchase more bitcoin in light of the fact that I think this is the time I contribute progressively and I will hold up until August. Nobody comprehends what going on August however for me, I have confidence in bitcoin.

So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Its okay to play it safe but for you to be on the winning side of investments you need to take some risks which includes buying more bitcoins before August the 1st because the the possibility of a chain split might also case prices to jump high...

And there could also be a huge pump after August 1st!

Should buy, sell or keep your btc is still not sure. August 1 will be the btc day after that. The btc price may increase rapidly or it may be cut by half, which makes people wonder and even me. In my opinion, it is best to keep the current btc and take a risk once the price goes up. : D

I'm not sure, there are many issues about Hard Fork.
The split between "Bitcoin Unlimited" and "Bitcoin Core" is worried about what will happen. Just keep reading the information and think positive.

If everything goes as we are expecting and segwit is activated with any hard forking then we can expect a huge pump after 1st August, so it would be pointless to wait for price to increase to buy.

I would recommend to accumulate in smaller quantity in case you are in a doubt. I bet you will not lose even after august 1st even if there is a decline in price as it would again pick up very quickly. But you shouldn't regret on your decision if you haven't bought now as anything can happen, but i see upwards.

But It's your wish either save or sell it.But I am going to save the bitcoin for huge profit after August 1.After August 1 their are lot of chances to increase in rate of bitcoin.Who's know it may reach 3000$ after August 1 due to increase in rate.My opinion is it's right time to buy a bitcoin to get Enormous profit.

Dude you are insane. You have been told a million times to get your coins out of exchanges immediately. I don't care if it's altcoins, to be honest, just get everything out, and put it in private local wallets where you are in full control of the private keys.

You might thing, "oh well, I will just sold my BTC for alts and then I will be safe to leave them on exchanges". Well think again: the chances of an exit scam increase during times like this, so don't trust exchanges period.

There is a possibility but no one really knows what will happen on August 1. the best thing to do is hoard your coins in a private key wallet just to make sure that whatever happens your coins is safe.

for OP if you have enough money to buy bitcoins that is currently on $2500 then buy it. although there is a possibility that the price will dump after or before August 1 then you can wait for it and wait for the right time to sell it after it get pump. trust bitcoin because it will still stand on it's a ground for many years.

Yeah! That’s a worthy suggestion. It’s never wrong to buy bitcoins. Even the prices are low, soon they will pump and you earn good profit. As far as August 1st is concerned, we can’t say anything with surety because fluctuations are common in crypto market. May be prices pump high before August 1st 2017. So it won’t be idiocy to buy coins now.

 Personally I am expecting this bull taking us to 5000-10 000 usd and then have the 2 fib correction to the level of 2000-4000 usd and then the next major bull market start from here.
Have you heard about the theory of critical mass?  It basically says that in the beginning the growth is slow as not enough people have adapted the technology... And at some point when the critical mass has adapted, it gets a enormous growth spurt (like internet did - it grew slowly like 10 years when people had the old ISDN modems and once the ISDN era was over, it grew in very short period of time quite fast to the point we are now when you hardly find anyone without internet even in the most poorest corners of the Earth). I think we still are in the slow growth phase as the MAJORITY world's population is in the sidelines. The majority has heard about bitcoin, but not to be "forced" to use it yet....

Did you say that you have invested your bitcoin to purchase alt coins or are you telling that you have kept your coins in the exchanges along with altcoins as it is not clear,one thing is certain that you do not need to worry about bitcoin as it wont vanish just like that.   If you are implying on the price then anything can happen but if you are afraid of the forking and if you think that there is a split,then it is better to save your coins in your own wallet rather than saving it in exchanges.

yeah there is a lot of speculation have been made , but only few that reasonable enough to believed. as most of them baseless. but for those people who don't want to think too hard , you might could split your bankroll to buy it now a little and later when the price could be dumped so hard . for the records August 1st aren't that bad to be scared.

It probably wont be technically affected, even if the chain splits I think you can recover the money on both chains with the same private key.

It's more like a market risk, where the price of BTC could be affected.

Buying bitcoin now I don't think is a bad idea because am of the believe that bitcoin will overcome what ever maybe the outcome of 1st August because all is for good except if you are not a long term investor. I will advise you should not invest what you cannot afford to loose.

I thinkthe best course of action if you want to be safe, is to sell half or your BTC and hold in Fiat. If BTC goes down hard you can buy back in low end(of whichever coin is the dominant one). If th eprice goes up hard you can sell your BTC later, wait a little bit until the hype dies down(price should go down slowly for a bit) and buy back in.
