This demo showcases some of the VR content from a couple of our partners, and allows users to watch these videos in mobile VR or 360 on your desktop/tablet/phone. You can also use a simulated version of the video interface we are developing, and simulate rapid-tap-tipping.

Comment or message us your feedback about what you want to see in the platform and what you think it is missing. Keep in mind that this is just a testable demo to interact with, the alpha will be significantly more substantial.

First Announcement: New Timeline

November 3rd: Launch private Pre-Sale

December 8th: Launch public Token Sale

We have had several discussions with our crypto consulting company, Sutton Stone, and we have setup a new timeline which will allow us the necessary time to prepare for the crowdsale. We previously mentioned that we were hoping to launch our pre-sale in late September, but that will not be possible. We have to ensure that everything is setup properly with all the correct documentation. Our new timeline is as follows:

August-Mid September: [/size]

• Prepare legal structuring of the token sale, Spectiv, and the new Signal Token protocol
• Prepare necessary documentation: whitepaper, token protocol, general business overview, KYC, AML, etc...
• Continue Spectiv platform development for the demo and Alpha versions

September-October:

• Apply for Token sale regulation in the country of Mauritius (Ethereum Blockchain Hub).

• Work on acquiring partnerships with fellow crypto and VR companies
• Restart marketing campaign and bounty campaign

Please keep in mind that this timeline is required in order for our crowdsale to be legally complaint in all ways possible. We are working as fast as we can on our side to launch the token sale asap, but we will not compromise the legality of the token sale to do that. We hope that this assures interested participants that we are very serious about launching a legitimate token sale!

Second Announcement: Spectiv Demo

We will be releasing the platform demo for public use at the end of this week. The demo will allow users to watch 360 videos from our partnered content creators, interact with the Spectiv video interface, and enjoy mobile VR through any mobile VR headset.

We will begin work on the Alpha version of the platform next week, an we are expecting 2-3 months of development until it is released. The Alpha platform will allow all users to create accounts, allow creators to upload videos, and allow curators to share content. The token system will not be integrated into the Alpha until after the token is released following the token crowdsale.

Third Announcement: Signal Token Protocol

After consulting with Sutton Stone, we have evaluated our current token system and will be making some significant changes. The biggest change is that we will be consolidating our dual token system of Specs & Signal Tokens into a single token system which only includes Signal Tokens. Signal Tokens will not only be a curation token, but now will also operate as the currency of the platform. We are making this change to further validate our token protocol, and open it up to potentially be used on other media based platforms. We are currently working to create a token infrastructure which can seamlessly be used on platforms such as Twitch or Youtube. We are working to revolutionize the way that media based attention markets interact with their users.

This update to our token system should instill confidence in members that are interested in the Signal Token crowdsale because it adds a new layer of validity and value to our token protocol. The token system we are working to create will have huge possibilities in the future, and the Spectiv platform will be the first use case to demonstrate its value.

Fourth Announcement: Bounty Implications

We have ultimately decided to push our public token sale back until December 8th in order to achieve the best token protocol possible, and to handle the legal structuring of our token sale (Full Announcement: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1975254.msg20704032#msg20704032). Due to this delay, we will be pausing the Bounty Campaign until October 20th.

Between now and October 20th, any signature campaign members are free to switch their signature to another campaign. When we relaunch our bounty on October 20th, you will be able to rejoin the signature campaign anytime between October 20th and the closing of the bounty campaign after the token sale.

All stakes that have been earned by bounty participants so far are still valid and will be counted at the end of the bounty campaign in December. Bounty participants are still required to achieve the rules of the bounty they are participating in, for example, signature campaign members are still expected to have at least 50 posts by the end of the bounty campaign.

As we mentioned before, we will be increasing the bounty rewards, but we have decided to increase from 2%-3%. We made this decision because although the campaign will be long, we are shortening it by pausing the bounty for the next 2 months. We still want to reward all our loyal bounty members though, so this is why we still decided to increase the bounty!

Starting this week, stakes will not be counted for any bounty campaign until we reactivate the bounty on October 20th. No funds have been raised yet...

We have been in discussions with a handful of buyers who have shown interest in being involved in Spectiv early. We have not followed through with these buyers because we are setting up the legal structure to allow us to handle early purchases, this will be done through a SAFT agreement. Now that we have this setup, we are actually planning to send out an email to everyone on our email list to allow them to participate in this raise if they would like. This email will be sent out next week.  This is not a private collection of funds, but will be very limited and have certain requirements for participating.

We will only sell a maximum of $200K worth of Signal Tokens in this early sell. These funds will be strictly used to allow us to spend a significantly higher budget on marketing. This will benefit everyone involved in Spectiv, so there is no reason to denounce it. We will always make public any funds that we do raise, as any other respectable project has done. We are not desperate for these funds and will still execute a successful token sale without them, but if we do raise these early funds, their impact on the token sale will be nothing but positive.

As a note, the token sale had already been delayed when these discussions started. There was never a time when we were asking for money with only weeks before the crowdsale because it was already delayed.

2. Spectiv Demo:

As we explained when we announced the launch of the demo, it's purpose is to be a simple introduction to the idea of Spectiv. It is obviously not an Alpha or Beta version, but it does allow interested users to experience 360 videos and get a better idea for what we are building. We are currently working on the Alpha version of the platform, and expect to release the first version of the Alpha at a time close to the public crowdsale. The Alpha is expect to include the following:

• Full VR capability with mobile headsets
• Account and Channel creation for viewers, creators, and curators
• Integration of Signal Token protocol
• Video uploading capabilities
• Functional video interface and tipping system
• Much More...

Vibehub and Decentraland are building completely different platforms compared to what we are focusing on, so obviously their development will be significantly different. We are building a dedicated Virtual Reality platform which will be focused on VR/360 content. Essentially doing what Twitch did in gaming, but honing in on the growing industry of VR. The platform we are building is extremely valuable because we have the ability to partner with many other VR platforms.This brings me to my next point.

3. VR Partnerships/Competitors:

As we have mentioned in the past, we are in discussions with VR companies to create partnerships in this industry. We have connections with several other VR based start-ups due to a network of advisors who participated in Boost.VC, the largest VR accelerator in the world. Our platform is perfect for building relationships with other VR companies because it can seamlessly integrate with their platforms. For example:

Decentraland is building a virtual world where users can buy land and create anything within that environment. There have been people mentioning the idea of building theaters where users can come to together to share in watching VR videos. We can partner with Decentraland to integrate the Spectiv video hosting platform and make it the dedicated video platform in their app. This will allow their users to watch all of the content within the Spectiv platform in the the virtual theaters.

The same example can be used with Vibehub who is creating virtual hubs for users to connect with each other. Their demo shows a user watching and interacting with VR videos, but for the purpose of their demo they are hosting these videos within their app. In the long-term though, it makes sense for them to integrate other VR video apps into their platform as Oculus, Vive, Steam and Playstation have all done within their apps. This where Spectiv can partner with Vibehub.

4. Reasons for the delay:

We are delaying the crowdsale specifically because we want it to function under the highest standards for governance possible. The claim that the crowdsale was postponed with "scam" intentions is extremely incorrect.
We are simply ensuring that the business is set up properly and that the crowdsale is structured for maximum security. We could have held the crowdsale at our original August date, but we consider it our responsibility to provide a bona fide, tier one project for all of our future token purchasers. We are also working on ensuring that we follow all KYC and AML laws associated with collecting funds. There is a lot of work that needs to be done on the legal end. Once this has been completed, it will take approximately 1-2 months for approval from the Mauritius government. This approval process makes up the majority of our delay. All in all, we're excited about the confidence we are inspiring in the crowdsale with our new plans. With the help of Sutton Stone, we're paving the way for the best US based crowdsale process.

We just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what is going on behind the scenes.

1. We just completed our private presale on Tuesday. This presale was only open to supporters who were a part of the Spectiv email list which is available on our site: Spectivvr.com. We will officially announce the details of this pre-sale after we complete our third party audit with accounting firm Baker Tilly.

2. We are currently hiring 2 additional full stack developers to help us accelerate our development timeline. The funds from the presale are allowing us to not only start development early, but we are expecting to release the alpha version of Spectiv before our public token sale. Expect more information on this development coming soon.

3. As mentioned in the past, we have revamped out token protocol to expand upon the use and function of Signal Tokens. We are very excited about the new token protocol we are creating, and we expect to release our updated whitepaper after next week.

4. We are currently in discussion with several VR companies that are interested in forming a partnership. These companies range from VR software which we can implement into the Spectiv VR platform to entire VR ecosystems where we can show VR videos in virtual environments.

We just wanted to let everyone know that we are still working very hard behind the scenes and fully expect this project to be one of the most successful token sales. Stay tuned for more updates in the future!

Spectiv Update - 09/22

1. We have brought on one additional programmer to help accelerate platform development, and a third party CFO to structure detailed financial projections and assist in bookkeeping / tax strategy. As with everyone else on our team, they are local to the city of Houston.

2. We have moved into a new, larger office space to more comfortably accommodate the full team. Fortunately, we were able to settle into a very cost-effective space at 1934 West Gray Street, where we are directly across the hall from Sutton Stone!

3. The Baker Tilly presale audit has just been completed. Baker Tilly has confirmed and verified all transactions and presale results. With the audit finished, you can all expect an official announcement about the presale this week.

4. We have accelerated the development timeline. All Spectiv enthusiasts can expect the alpha release of the streaming platform in mid-November. One of our reach-goals is to integrate live VR streaming before the crowdsale, and possibly do a live Q&A with our supporters in VR through the Spectiv platform.

5. We will be attending several crypto conferences over the next couple months. We will be presenting Spectiv and introducing the Signal Token protocol to major players within the space.
